chat peeps: Sorry, the chat server booted me and I couldn't get back in. :( Second time that's happened, I dunno why.

In other non-news, Super G is just so much fun to watch. Moguls always make my knees hurt in sympathy, but Super-G is so graceful and fast.

Tomorrow, the big US vs Canada hockey match. And as my paper put it: Will actually be shown live on the west coast! Hopefully we don't suck.

I ... have too many fics in progress. And they're all in my head. I was sort of in a drought. And now I have all these scenes from different stories all sort of yelling at me. Which is nice - I LIKE being able to 'hear' the stories again - but it's also very scattered and it's hard to concentrate. I try to focus on one, and then something else will clamor for me to write it RIGHT NOW. MUST FOCUS.

But still it's good to have those characters talking to me again. I've done a couple pages in the Cylon!Sam story -- I was stuck on it for awhile, trying to get into Boomer's head. I needed a Cylon POV, and I thought she'd be the easiest, since I've done Sharon before. But nooooo - wrong! She's HARD. Trying to figure out what she's thinking at the start of the New Cap occupation, plus how it's going to change in the new 'verse... no wonder my subconscious needed to chew on it for awhile.

And after a few new recent kicks in the ass polite inquiries, Asheron and Sam and Baal are back too. That is one fucked up triangle. *pets them* I need maybe 20,000 words more to finish - unfortunately most of that in the beginning. I am such a dumbass.

I think I might be suffering Olympics withdrawal. I keep refreshing the yahoo sports page and NOTHING INTERESTING comes up anymore. Where's my medal count? Where are my amusing stories of athletes doing great and stupid things? Where're my pictures! *woes*

That tie-breaker system is fucked, man. Apparently FIG IOC decided that record-keeping double medals in gymnastics was too taxing or something. Poor Nastia. But boy, is she a clone of her mom, or what?

Think how fast Usain Bolt might have gone if he didn't stop and wave to his mom in the middle of the 100m? ok, I exaggerate slightly, but, day-um. Talk about making it look easy.

Speaking of day-um, I'm fairly sure that the final lap of the men's 10000 m was run faster than I could do it. Without running 9,600m before it. I ... should be in better shape.

I missed the first showings of trampoline yesterday somehow. How can this be???? Luckily there's supposed to be more later.

Yawn. Mom-in-law left today after a two week visit, and that, on top Small Person vacation and late night Olympics-watching is making me SO tired.

And unable to write fic - it makes me itchy.
