Lizardbeth's Tale

Today I went to get my hair done and after getting so many "that's really great" with the red from Operation Black Widow, I took the leap and had her permacolor it this time. For a long time I've done blonde highlights but this time it's darker, more of a reddish chestnut (not Black Widow red this time *g*). So we'll see what the boys think of it. (if D even notices - he took an hour to notice when it was BRIGHT RED. In his defense it was kind of dim at the time, but it was hilarious anyway). kiddo has now officially dubbed it purple.

And in the salon at the same time was some actor. I think he's on Scandal as a recurring character, from what I gathered eavesdropping. But I don't watch the show, so I don't know who he is other than I was pretty sure I'd seen him in something else, probably some guest star role(s). He's about thirty, short blonde hair, fairly tall... So there, have a vague celebrity sighting. :D

Kidlet is going to the semifinals for our AYSO region, and hopefully on to the championship. He's got some good players on his team, and he's a pretty good defender when he gets into it. I'll be glad when soccer's done, though.

Now that Big Bang is in beta (thanks Rose!), it's onto my ridiculous Yuletide fic next. I don't know if I can make it as funny as it deserves, but the idea makes me chortle, at least.

and one of these days I need to catch up on tv and actually write a post about it all. Because wow did I fall behind during NaNo.

I think I have the latest round of crud. bleagh. So far it's not bad, just irritating.
Hopefully it won't last long, and really, really hopefully, I hope Kidlet doesn't catch it.

We got a BluRay DVD player, yay. It was meant to be our family Christmas present - um, we waited for awhile. because we are slow about that "adopting new tech" thing... But as soon as I get it hooked up I can finally play some of the disks we've acquired in anticipation of this happy day! It was starting to get a bit ridiculous having a stack of things we can't watch.

I've also begun an exercise program with my mom. It helps quite a bit actually, and she has the new condo with the fancy deserted gym. It's so much nicer than a public gym (plus, I don't feel like I have to get in shape BEFORE I go to the gym. Just think "land of aspiring actors' and you get it.)
