Picked it up this morning, and managed to finish by 4 with the kind understanding of hubby who removed himself and the Rugrat from the house to visit with his mother. YAY for uninterrupted reading time.

(and to everyone tired of it, sorry, you can move right along...)

SPOILERS, AND STILL MORE SPOILERS )
Ducking on line for a few minutes.... Today's my anniversary, so hubby and I have been hanging out togeteher (without rugrat) and we'll be going out to dinner soon.

One of the things we did was go to see Order of the Phoenix. Spouse already knows I'm going to be unavailable on Sunday because I'll be reading DH, so he's nicely getting into the spirit of things.

few thoughts on the film )
We watched a show "After the Super Comet", and I'm thinking the whole time: maybe I should return my [livejournal.com profile] apocalypse_kree prompt, and write post-comet DOOOOM!fic. Because that show was nothing but apocafic from beginning to end. It was also surprisingly survivable -- a comet the size of the dinosaur-killing-one in about the same place will probably NOT kill off all of humanity. of course the survivors might WISH they were dead, but that's a different problem...

corsets and pirates and Disney and Harry Potter stuff )
Since JK Rowling's publicity machine spat out some vague spoilers relating to book 7 lately, and fandom has been speculating like mad (again) about who's going to die, I thought I'd list some of my predictions for Book 7. For everyone's future amusement at how right/wrong I'm going to be. :D I was going to do this earlier, before I ingested so much meta and other people's predictions, but better late than never.

Harry Potter and the Someone of Something )

Anyone else want to play? I'm always up for HP discussion/theories...
