lizardbeth: (DW - Eleven/River)
( May. 7th, 2011 11:56 pm)
So many thoughts, shows!

First of all,I watched "Silence in the library" as part of my continuing quest to watch DW completely ackbasswards. River is, of course, fabulous. And heart-breaking. I... don't immediately feel as attached to Ten and Donna as I did with Eleven and Amy. *head tilty* perhaps they will grow on me. Still haven't had a chance to watch the next one, so plz don't spoil me.

Speaking of DW,I am thinking I must do a separate recap post for Black Spot because I HAVE SO MANY RIDICULOUS things I think about while watching this show.

I also have complicated feelings about TVD, so I have to wait and see that one again I think. Or maybe that's the wrong word -- I'm not sure I care about what happened? I should, but I'm not sure I do. maybe it's just me, though, being spoiled and prepared, and generally wiped out lately.

Nikita is pretty damn perfect. show, plz don't leave me.

And Supernatural reaffirmed that my heart belongs to Castiel, and I'm sorry but that's just the way it is. I empathize with him more than I do anyone else, even when he's doing bad things Poor bb, you know the answer or you wouldn't be so troubled. Favorite ep of the season, hitting one of my narrative kinks: well-intentioned acts that go awry.
Title: Crazy on You
Pairing: Dean/Lisa

Spoilers: Through "Twihard"
Summary: At night, there's only one refuge.

The whisper that calls after you in the night )

I feel like I've gotten out of the habit of doing these, and so I really ought to go back to it.

So, a few thoughts:

Fairly Legal )

Vampire Diaries )
Nikita- coup de grace  )

Supernatural - Like a Virgin )

And in conclusion, Smallville has reminded me: THERE IS NO SPOON
lizardbeth: (Yuletide)
( Dec. 12th, 2010 12:29 am)
I re-examined my Yuletide fandom (which I will leave nameless, because I like the part where it's anonymous and then you get to reveal it; used to be more possible to do the guessing game part of it, though). But I need some more to get the voices down. At least I still like it!

It's annoying and yet funny to realize I've forgotten my own continuity. Bad enough I forget actual show canon, but then because I write so frakking slowly (most of the time) I forget stuff from the early parts of my own fics. Little things ... like who's alive. D'oh!

Holiday stuff, plus my mother's b-day today and kiddo's b'day coming on Monday have kept me busy. We put up lights outside for the first time, along the eaves. We got those LED icicle lights and they're BRIGHT. It's like daylight on my porch! If daylight were icy blue. It's sort of weird and I'm not sure I like it.

Y'know, I could totally watch a spinoff of Dean and Tessa. Dean could be with Lisa and Ben, but his part time job would be training as Death's assistant, and Tessa would be the grumpy middle-manager who has to show him around. It'd be filmed documentary style, and be like Undercover Boss, but with dying. And Castiel could pop in and screw with the natural order of things just because he's an immortal and doesn't give a crap about all this dying business. And Dean would whine about it, and Cas would give him THAT FACE, and Tessa would be impatient, cuz people are, like, WAITING and she's stuck with this damn human and the angel who are the bane of her existence.

Or, my one word review for "Encounter at Samarra": TESSAAAAAAAA

I have two words for Nikita: HOLY CRAP.

I... have more words for Vampire Diaries, but it's late and I spent most of them elsewhere. I really should put my thinky thoughts here, first, and THEN go wander around.
*flail*

omg, Rick Worthy was on SPN tonight.

I think I've mentioned my 'Fallen' love (the ABC Family mini about angels and nephilim, and yes, I requested it for Yuletide), and a great deal of that is because Rick Worthy's in it, too. He was kind of the good version of the awesomely evil dude he was in this ep.

CYLON FOURNESS OF CAPSLOCKY GOODNESS, and oh yeah and some other stuff happened )

um, we will not discuss how I should've been writing NaNo. And I'm two days behind, having been felled by a migraine for two days. er, back to writing.
lizardbeth: (Katherine - no rules)
( Oct. 31st, 2010 11:55 pm)
I am totally not ready for NaNoWriMo. AAAAAH! But if you are doing NaNo, I am lizardbeth over at the main site. BUDDY ME.

oh boy, I'm so far behind on tv commentary, too. Caught a bit of Smallville, and can I just say Lois taunting Clark about how she's a delicate flower was hilarious? And it's so awesome how GLEEFUL she was about watching him? awwwwwwww.

Supernatural- which amounts to Dean and Lisa, because I'm suddenly a shipper in this show, and it's very inconvenient )

TVD: This isn't nearly as squeeful nor as long as it would've been if I'd written it immediately.

Vampire Diaries: Masquerade )

I feel like I had something to say about Nikita as well, but I forgot it. And now it's too late because

NaNoWriMo starts in ten minutes!

*panic* *flail*

Now that I'm a walking cliche (SOCCER MOM!!), my Saturdays are even MORE shot than they were before. Especially when the game is so late in the morning. gah. But since my life is so freakishly dull, let's move on to something more fun.

Supernatural -- Dean/Lisa FTW! Show, I'm loving them. I love her, I love Dean, I love them together. Please, please, don't fuck it up.

Supernatural - my current favorite gif - and spoilers )

In other non-news:
I'm pondering NaNo this year. I've never actually done NaNo, but I've been feeling some um, shall we say, pressure on the homefront to do something more productive with my writing than fanfic. And since I write novels anyway, I might as well try to write for publication than fannish ones, right? NaNo might be just the kick I need to get it off the ground.

Protecting the Supernatural spoiler phobes --

SG-1 and Supernatural crossover casting )

Still, this, and the previous announced return of a few other guests have me... intrigued? More than I expected after the crash and burn of the Walmart apocalypse, anyway.

Y'know, speaking of casting for SPN, why has JR Bourne not been on this show yet? I know he moved to LA but he must have to go back once in a while especially to visit his BFF who's camped out in Vancouver again . It's a slam dunk - he does both guileless and evil so well.
lizardbeth: (Elena-Stefan)
( Apr. 30th, 2010 03:18 pm)
First, let me bitch about how this crossover epic has taken over MY LIFE. It's ridiculously long, involves lengthy flashbacks (this is me, after all -- if I can't have prophecies I have flashbacks), guest appearances, allusions to Hamlet... Sure is fun though.

Onto last night TEEVEE.

SPN: The Devil You know )

And meanwhile on a show that actually KNOWS how to pace a season--

TVD: Blood Brothers )

OH SHOW. CAN'T WAIT FOR NEXT WEEK.
lizardbeth: (Elena-Stefan)
( Apr. 23rd, 2010 10:22 pm)
So, being unable to string two sentences together for my SPN Big Bang is clearly the SPN muse abandoning ship... because in the last two days?

I've written about 5K of "Kate Beckett Discovers Detective Demming is an Alien" Crossover fic. yes, clearly my muse is still Trucco-shaped. Which I would complain about, except, y'know, it's a very nice shape... (and I depend upon you crazy fangirls to read it because I can't imagine anyone outside of Trucco Fandom is going to)

Anyway, About Last Night:

SPN: Hammer of the Gods )

And then, on The Vampire Diaries. (oh, right. Picspam. STILL ON THE LIST, when I'm not writing crack):

Miss Mystic Falls )

I ... can't get over how awesome my shows were tonight!

(oh, and just FYI - in case anyone is still under the impression that the CW believes it's targeting boys - it says quite clearly in all its network materials that it's targeting WOMEN 18-34. Well, um, we won't discuss how I'm not quite in that demo anymore. *cough* but IT'S WORKING, DAWN, OKAY?)

er, um, Supernatural first, since I actually watched it first (I have this issue with 8 pm shows, and I have to time shift them)

SPN: POINT OF NO RETURN )

On the other hand, the promo monkeys managed to strip out everything even interesting from the promo for next week. I understand not giving away the twist, but WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT??

er, anyway. Onto my other show of awesome... TVD.

TVD: UNDER CONTROL -- Or, not so much really. )

HAPPY SQUEE DAY!
:)
lizardbeth: (Agathons)
( Apr. 15th, 2010 09:19 am)
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! [livejournal.com profile] sabaceanbabe!!!

Even though I know you HAVE what you want right now, *g*

HAVE AN AGATHON FAMILY BIRTHDAY DRABBLE )

And it's also Supernatural's 100th episode tonight. Though I doubt anything will ever pass the crack extravaganza that was Wormhole X-Treme! as a 100th ep, shows usually pull out the stops for the big 100, so yay!

Plus, more Kelly Hu and David Anders on The Vampire Diaries. And Stefan being a hot junkie. Have I mentioned how awesome this show is? With the possible exception of LOST, it is my fave show on t.v. right now. (and if you think it's Twilight? It's not.) I should do a recruitment picspam, shouldn't I? Because, damn, people hate on this show sight unseen, and it's not right.
Spring break for the short person began today. The week after Easter we'll be away but I have a week of.... nothing coming up. OH THE HORROR.

I really meant to write my remix fic today. I... failed rather miserably. I wrote a scene from WAY down the line in Black Sails though. oops.

I also intended to fix the DVD drive in my laptop. Despite my best efforts today, it refuses to play Blu-rays. Which is highly irritating when all the new DVDs I've bought are Blu-rays. And it's almost certainly a Windows conflict SOMEPLACE, because this is the second time it's happened (and it's only Blu-ray disks - regular ones play fine). So while I can WATCH on my other player on the t.v., I can't do things like make pretty caps. :(

I did however catch up to both last night's Vampire Diaries and Supernatural.
I would have more to say about both of them if it weren't so late already. Both were fun though.

They said light showers today in the tail end of the storm. THAT WAS A LIE to give us hope. Rainpocalypse continues unabated. I have green stuff growing on my wooden fence, and my poor low-water garden out front looks like hydroponics.

Kidlet's illness yesterday made it very difficult to watch t.v. So I sorta watched SPN -- I know what happened, but I kept getting interrupted so I missed random bits. My general conclusion: the white t-shirt look is quite yummy.

Luckily this morning the yuckies passed. So, unlike the storm which keeps going, the bug came and went hard but fast.

And that seems a bit dirty, so I'll leave it there. :)

Okay, so did anyone actually watch The Plan on Skiffy? I didn't, but I'm curious about how they hacked it up.

I suck at [livejournal.com profile] bsg_pornbattle this year. Too much thinking about [livejournal.com profile] planetside_c possibly, and my porn muse stomped off in a huff.

I signed up for [livejournal.com profile] spn_j2_bigbang because CLEARLY I have nothing else to do with my time.
Let me illustrate how fucking BIG SPN fandom is: The signup went up TODAY. I'm on page 6; there are 13 pages right now. *boggles*
funny and yet sweet )

And in other news, Van Pelt and Rigsby are really starting to get to me on Mentalist.
Self, we do not 'ship on procedurals. but they're so cute!

Damn it, I forgot until there was only ten minutes left, this was the FlashForward with CKR in it. Meant to DVR it, but I'll have to catch it online.

But the rest of the night?

*dies*

ZOMG. I LOVE THIS SHOW. Supernatural Spoilers )

And next week? I'll bring the popcorn if you wanna watch fandom melt down with me.

AFterward the same actress who was Daphne on True Blood, was on the Mentalist. Oh, I'm so glad she got her just desserts in this show, too. Yes, I'm still mad at Daphne.
Title: Shadow-Watcher
Author: [livejournal.com profile] lizardbeth_j
Rating: NC-17
Genre/Pairing: Dean/Castiel, total AU (Dean works on cars and plays in a band; Castiel is not an angel)
Spoilers: none
Warnings: language, sex
Word Count: 3900
Note: Written for the 2009 Fusion Challenge, AU prompt 98: "Vampires!" Given the BSG Big Bang I'm also prepping at the moment, this is a whole lot shorter than it could be. You aren't surprised. Many thanks to [livejournal.com profile] lucyparavel for looking it over.

Summary: A chance encounter with a stranger at the Roadhouse haunts Dean's dreams with a powerful attraction.

It was going to be one of those nights )
