I someday would like an explanation for why I get OBSESSED with writing freakishly long epics that only, like, three people will read. whyyyyyy? I mean, seriously, self, is it too much to ask to write epics in fandoms that have more than ten people in them? (k, I exaggerate but I don't think a FL/LO:UK crossover has, shall we say, a very large readership pool...)

Or use all this awesome creative energy on the three million things I should be writing? SRSLY.

I guess it's proof that the subconscious/muse goes where it wills, though I should probably chain mine up in the basement and make it behave...

I'd like to know this too. I have to wrangle so many obscure plotbunnies...

Muses go where they decide to go. And since it is fanfiction, and therefore written for the sheer joy of it instead of the desire to sell it. Then write what you enjoy writing. :)

I feel your pain - I do exactly the same. This spring my muse demanded I write a HORRIBLY LONG fic about Jolinar's life as an undercover operative, and I doubt 10 people have even looked at it. (bad muse...) I really wish my brain thought up plot-bunnies that was slightly less obscure...

Because you hope that someone out there will read it and appreciate your hard work... this is coming from a Harry Potter ficwriter who just rights old people smut. Moody, McGonagall, Snape, etc....not a golden trio in sight. :)
