I feel like I've gotten out of the habit of doing these, and so I really ought to go back to it.
So, a few thoughts:
-- oh Leonardo you are such a bad,bad man. LOL. "Boat toaster." and a free iPad. SO lucky that Justin didn't demand his money back. or, y'know, threaten to have him arrested for perpetrating a scam. but I guess he figured it was worth it.
Nice to see Justin interact with someone other than Kate. He should certainly know Lauren and Spencer, so it was kind of strange not to see him with them last week at least in passing. But anyway, the whole side plot with Justin and Leo was fun.
Judge Nicastro and Kate laying the smackdown was great. Giving your own kid steroids? He's lucky he got that. I am officially, parentally horrified by that. But I admit I thought the coach and kid might have had something going on, not the whole parent-steroid angle.
Though I admit I'm MOST excited for the Kate/Justin stuff in the various videos. bah. I'm such a pathetic shipper already.

CAROLINE!!!
Stefan was adorable and supportive and I want them to continue to be awesome mentor/BFFs.
Oh Tyler, babe, I know you are confused and people keep lying to you, but please do not trust that the whitetrash werewolves don't have an agenda either. Because they so clearly do.
and if you hurt Stefan too much next week we will have to reevaluate how much I want you to survive the season.
Hey look, Bonnie, Jenna, Jeremy and Alaric exist! I cannot wait until Jenna finds out and goes NUCLEAR on Alaric. I want to slap him every time he's with her. Her ignorance is actively endangering everyone -- she's already invited Katherine and Elijah in. She's totally going to invite Klaus in too because NOBODY has freaking told her not to. She better freaking kick Alaric to the curb.
Elena - still mostly a plot device. I want to like her, but she's just kind of there nowadays. As was pointed out, sadly she's become THE KEY. yes, she's not Buffy anymore, she's now Dawn. She's either babysitting or being babysat. But at least Katherine should be out soon so Nina will have something more interesting to do.
Matt - still a waste of space.
Damon - more badass, less emo-bitchy-whininess. Gods, to think Damon fans were whining over Stefan's emo last season and how he should embrace his inner vampire. bwahahaha. the worm it turns. whatever. Done with him and his emotional instability. Stefan should've let him die 150 years ago.
Y'know, sometimes I wonder whether the writers are experimenting with just how far they can push Damon over the Moral Event Horizon (look, I didn't link you to TVTropes - you're welcome), and the rabid D/E-ers will STILL hold fast.
Nikita
SO HAPPY. I just. unf.
SHE USED A SWORD.
SHE SAVED A PRINCE. WHILE WEARING SHINY ARMOR.
I'm sorry, it does not come with enough capslock in the world.
Alex was awesome, too, thinking on her feet. And finally Michael is cluing into the truth that his perfect little protege has possibly been smoking everyone all along.
oh, and that was hilarious when Nikita's talking to the cop and Michael comes on the line. she's all 'oh crap'. heh.
SPN
so many funny bits:
Dean blew up the rock. HE BLEW IT UP. *dying*
also Hogwarts. Comic-Con. Calling Cas a child. lololol
on the seriouser side of things, while I'm sad we got no dragons, I remember the hideous CGI on the dragon in SG-1, and since Spn has even less money I'm also kind of glad they went with a human version. Plus the 'hot hands' thing was kinda cool. I'd like that power.
and we find out that Purgatory is... not exactly a barren wasteland. noooo. It is full of horrible, terrible things, and one of them has just come through.
*sigh of relief* glad that Sam is back, glad the whole 'secret' wasn't dragged out forever. Glad to see Cas back briefly, though he better be getting more than a scene soon. I know they worked it to give him time with the baby, but still. I miss his angel BAMF-ness.
Sad that Dean sounds like he's given up on Lisa. *sniff*
TaDa! meet the big bad for the rest of the season! well, I can't say this show hasn't already driven daddy issues into the ground already, so it's now time to turn to creepy mommy issues.
and I found out in the bigass forthcoming supermeta episode, Misha's going to be a Twitter fiend. CANNOT FRAKKING WAIT. Yes, I love the meta, fourth-wall-breaking episodes. They're usually hilarious, and really, people take this stuff and this show way too srs bzns.
I'm sorry, but y'all should've realized this ship left the "plausible reality" dock, at least at the suicidal teddy bear, if not before. So break the damn fourth-wall, that's what it's there for! did I mention Genevieve is going to be Jared's wife? "You married RUBY? ARE YOU NUTS???"
And in conclusion, Smallville has reminded me: THERE IS NO SPOON

I suspect I will love Nikkita but I'm putting off watching it until the summer because I don't want to fall in love with anther show that gets cancelled before its time.

FL is one of those shows that if Trucco weren't on it, I would still watch it (the topic interests me, plus I like Sarah Shahi, too), but less religiously than I do. I appreciate that it's trying to do something a little different and it's fun. But yeah, certainly being pre-invested with Trucco helps me to be prompt about it!
