Now, I enjoy Castle - it's a light-hearted show and while I kind of wish it wasn't so predictable, that's also not the point, so it's okay.
However, HOTASS DETECTIVE TRIANGLE FODDER definitely make it a must-see.
Our introduction: Kate Beckett is whaling away on the punching bag when this guy we don't know (if you aren't, y'know, me) comes strolling in to work out, too. Beckett pays him no attention at all. Seemingly.
So he walks in and notices Kate.

And then he checks her out AGAIN.

Then, he smiles, because she is HOT. He wants her to notice him.
3
Then, because he is a boy, tries displays of physical strength to get her attention.

It totally works on me, but I'm not as cool as Beckett.

Then, because she's still not looking, he decides he needs to be a little more obvious.

So he offers to hold her punching bag for her. And she hits HARD.

And he is smitten.

Then, when she's going to answer her phone, HE CHECKS HER OUT AGAIN.

Phoar! And that's just the intro.
There was actually more to the episode, besides this and the fight/interrogation/stall tactic of HOTNESS. It was good that it really revolved around Esposito, which gave him an opportunity to shine, plus freed the Beckett and Castle to deal with this subplot. I might've been more fooled by Demming the Red Herring if I didn't know Trucco was coming back, maybe. Castle and his "no flag on the play" when he claims to have no interest-- yeah, oops. hee. (and that last bit when Castle finds out Demming's alibi is coaching basketball for poor kids, "of course he does.")
And even Lanie, who's totally a B/C shipper was all over the new guy too, which was hilarious.
If we don't get Kate/Tom kissage, I'm going to be a very very sad puppy.
Arm!porn! eyecandy! adorableness! humor! badassery!
And did I mention the arm!porn? :D

I always say that I'm not a fan of procedurals but I do like Bones & Criminal Minds. I thought Castle would be another show to add to that list but...no so much:)
