I went to the Battlestar Galactica Auction Part 2 (preview day). I saw the props and the costumes AND THE SHIPS (including the Raider I took a bazillion pictures of because it is JUST THAT COOL). ebneter, though sadly, no MrsMoD. Partnered with a guy named Justin to take each other's photos. We had a good time pretending we were bitter exes, whose only thing left in common was BSG. (we were a bit giddy, but Justin, if you happen to drop by, SAY HI!)
We were giddy because, contrary to my expectation, MY TIMING WAS PERFECT.
I mean, seriously, the timeing couldn't have been better. I photographed everything I wanted to. Talked toebneter. And Kate Vernon walked in. And then Michael Trucco walked in.
AND.
I got pics. And he signed my photo op and when he saw it he said he remembered me (and okay, the outfit helped, but that's why I believe it). And when I gave my name he goes, "Right! I remember that, too." And he wrote on my picture, "good to see you again." eeeeeee!
*twirls*
OH BUT WAIT, there is more. FOR THEN, Grace Park walked in.
And for reals, she is far more beautiful in person. *sigh* She signed the print of Jeff's painting of Helo and Athena, and she remembered seeing it before (someone else's copy). So now I have it signed by both Helo and Athena. YAYAYSYAYAYAYAY!
Then, I was heading out and stopped to say bye toebneter who was getting her book signed by one of the production people and MT was nearby, and I'm not sure how but then all the bunch of us were talking. Justin asked him the question about how his accident changed the plan. And so he's again "Ask Aaaron, he knows." But then he says he was told that the hybridization was planned. So I make frowny face and say that one of the podcasts said Sam was going to be awake and walking around in StWoM, and he looks at me and shakes his head, "they spin everything." I think, meaning Ron (or someone) had tried to put a good face on it for him, by telling him it was the plan all along. (the two aren't necessarily incompatible, though, since it's possible the outline had Sam choosing it or something. Maybe the writer's roundtable on the dvds will discuss it so I can find out, since I'm now obsessed with it)
Anyway. he got called away, and I head home, getting promptly stuck in traffic, so I probably would've been better off watching the panel and then going. oh well.
One of these days I will remember to ask more questions. But I don't remember them until I'm in the car. I have yet, for example, to bring up the first time we met, which was actually fairly memorable, because I keep forgetting.
Now if only I could see him again in about two weeks, he WOULD remember me. (yes, I am greedy. I KNOW THAT)

Since she was the last one of the guests to come, a crowd formed around her. Alec, the head guy of propworx came to ask her if she wanted to have a table and sit down (and make it orderly, since people were crowding around), and she was just so relaxed and okay with it. I was impressed.
