So, Not!Athena is musing about death, and Sam answers that's what happens in war. And he has this horrible, strung-out look on his face.





And then they're all done with the systems mating, and the two Eights get ahead of him in the corridor and he's all alone. He looks around kinda stunned and horrified.






And then he's just totally OVERCOME by everything (and he hasn't even heard the good news about unboxing D'Anna yet...)





GAH. I WANNA HUG HIM EVEN MORE NOW.

I was going to whine about VLC sucking and not playing audio for me, but it r fixed now.

OMG. SAM. *clings to him* This scene would have been nice to have in there, especially with Athena. *sulks*

ALSO. When did Sam become Mr. Tech Geek? I thought he was pulling a line of bullshit with Kara, when he said he'd know the raptor's systems better. BUT APPARENTLY NOT.

he must've been learning stuff on whatever ship he was on post NewCap, I figure. Maybe that's how he got to be a nugget so quickly while Kara was "gone"...
