So, Not!Athena is musing about death, and Sam answers that's what happens in war. And he has this horrible, strung-out look on his face.





And then they're all done with the systems mating, and the two Eights get ahead of him in the corridor and he's all alone. He looks around kinda stunned and horrified.






And then he's just totally OVERCOME by everything (and he hasn't even heard the good news about unboxing D'Anna yet...)

Best Buy put two deleted scenes up a couple of weeks ago, that's one of them. They download and play in iTunes.

can't you just save-as or whatever you call it on a mac? The link at the top is the mp4 file, so if you can save it, it is downloadable. But if that doesn't work, I can upload the file for you.

Arrrrgh, DAMN THE DVDs. I knew there was one for "Faith", and I was actually annoyed when I realised that episode didn't have any deleted scenes on the DVD when I rented it :/

yeah, I liked that whole little bit at the beginning a lot too. And Sam and Not!Athena make a connection there - when he finds out how scared she is to die.

It's one of those scenelets I can see why they cut it, but it adds a lot of texture to see it.

I hoped to see more doubts about destroying Resurrection System from cylons. After all they didn't know any other way of life. How it is when you suddenly have to switch to the limited lifespan? How do you give up immortality? I know they sort of didn't have a choice but still they deprived themselves of any chance of return.
