We watched the Burn Notice with Lucy Lawless tonight. It was a repeat, but we'd missed it the first time. Hee, D'Anna really has corrupted me - I enjoy her being bad so much. It was kind of sad that she didn't share any scenes with Bruce Campbell though, just for old times' sake.

Before that, we went to see Dark Knight in IMAX!
Finally! Yay! And we had perfect seats.

Movies should ALWAYS be made in IMAX. Stunning. Especially stunning when you already know the story and can just fall into the visual. That first opening shot of Chicago/Gotham? Is GORGEOUS. And the night-time in Hong Kong sequence? Damn, you can count the freaking windows. And Nolan doesn't do any super closeups in the format which helps too (cuz, I think Christian Bale's hot, but looking up his ten-foot high nose would not be my idea of a great view). unlike Attack of the Clones which we also saw in IMAX, they don't have to pan-and-scan the rest of the film anymore, but just transition between the IMAX format (which is nearer a square) and widescreen. It didn't bother me as much as I thought they might, since the screen was already so large. But still, I hope the next one is ALL in IMAX, because that would be awesome.

Anyway, it's totally worth it if you like the movie and you have this version playing near you.

Trivia I saw on IMDB: apparently someone tallied 36 deaths in the film. I'm not sure how that's counted, but... yeah. Just a few! If it's true the Riddler's coming next, I can't imagine the Riddler being a threat like that (I also hope the Johnny Depp rumor isn't true but it makes a lot of sense). I hope the secondary 'villain' is either Catwoman or Talia. Personally I'd love Talia more since I think she fits the mythos better, but it'll probably be Catwoman.

How sad is it that I'm already planning to offer DK for Yuletide? *sigh*

Next thing you know I'll be writing Talia myself in the Nolan-verse... because how cool would that be?

aw... well, hopefully you get the chance to see DK. Big screen is SO worth it for this one.

And yes, there is a rumor floating that Johnny Depp has been asked to be the Riddler in the next one. I have no idea whether it's true or just wishful thinking on some fans' part or what.

Talia is the loyal daughter of Ra's alGhul in the comics. She has a canon crush/obsession/wants revenge on Batman. They may or may not have a child in canon (depending on who you talk to, whether certain events are canon or not- it's comics, you know how it is). When her father dies/goes missing, she takes over. She's pretty kickass if a bit psychotic occasionally. And, given the movie 'trilogy' started with Ras alGhul I'd love to see his daughter come in for revenge and bring the story full-circle. But as she isn't a top tier character (like Catwoman) it's probably not so likely. I think the michelle pfeiffer catwoman is actually pretty close to what a nolan-verse catwoman would be like and I'd rather see something different. But we'll see - I was a bit dubious of the choice of the Joker again and Nolan proved me wrong.

Thank you dear, I hope so too!

Hmmm. I...I just don't know. I think he could do it, but my fear is that it would be too Captain Jack.

Sounds like my kind of girl! :D
