When I'm empress of the universe I will ban children's birthday parties. THERE ARE TOO MANY! Today's wasn't even my kid's, but the three dozen boys running crazy were plenty.

*flops exhausted on couch*

I was going to work on fic, but this weekend has been a bust, scurrying around doing nothing in particular and birthday partying. I do have a two page outline/notes for the sequel to the Plot Kraken Fic, though. So you'll all get more of that one, whether you want it or not! But first things first -- finish story one!

Scary news about the fire at Universal. It was massively damaging to the backlot and some of the archives. Luckily it sounds as though nothing unique in the archive was lost. I haven't been to the backlot on the tour in years and years, but it's sad to think a lot of what I saw is gone now (the New York City section, including the King Kong attraction, as well as the Town Square). You could still see the remnants of the smoke in the air today. :(

No, not the big fic. not yet. I need to redo one of the scenes - I didn't like it before I sent it to beta, and I like it less now. :( But there'll be a sequel. A vast, complicated sequel. Did you know that a lot of shit goes down in Season 3? I had kind of forgotten until I was trying to trace plotlines for my AU (which is what the Plot Kraken is). Frak. I might have to break it up into chapters/episodes or soemthing. THIS is why giant plot bunnies are the bane of my existence - I end up trying to completely rewrite all of canon. Which is kind of crazy.

But fun, apparently, which is why I persist in trying to do it IN EVERY SINGLE FANDOM. *head deak*

you gave me Virtual Booze so I will tell you that Kara is in the Plot Kraken Fic. Which is called "Not All We Are", just so's you know, it has an actual title. :)

And she's still Special Destiny Girl, but ... differently. I'll shut up now, so I stop being a bit tease.
