Been down this road before )
Possibly only [livejournal.com profile] rose_griffes will appreciate the awesomeness of this, but last night I had this moment of realization.

John Reese -- he of the show with the semi-sentient computer...

John Reese -- FATHER OF DEREK AND KYLE REESE y/y?

Details! )

And, um, hi, new TVD friends! I would say I don't make up crack like this all the time, BUT THAT WOULD BE A LIE.

MY BRAIN. You're welcome.
Michael Trucco will be on How I Met Your Mother tonight, 8 pm, as Robin's Object of Lustful Thoughts. (um, me, too, Robin! Let's party together!)

So, between that, and the many adorkable faces he made during the Toyota Pro/Celebrity Race on Saturday, I FEEL A PICSPAM COMING ON.

But just FYI - HE PLACED SECOND. (in the celeb category, and third overall). You go and be your fast, bad self Trucco. UNF.

I only belatedly realized that he and Brian Austin Green were actually in the same episodes back in their 90210 days. hee. I wonder if they talked about it, or even remembered since it was awhile ago and Trucco was only around for a few eps. Speaking of Brian, I thought Megan didn't attend, since I saw no photos of her while trawling the net, but apparently she was but avoided the cameras somehow. Brian came up eighth, this year, after the handicap of having to start in the back.

In the category of "Lawyers Spoil the Fun" -- After posting the fasted time despite rolling his car in the preliminary race on Fri, Stephen Moyer had to withdraw from the race overnight. I'm guessing insurance refused to cover his absence from the show if he was injured, and so HBO said... "Uh. Stephen. NO." He looks a bit bumm ed in some of his pics with Anna, watching the race.

But I've seen a couple of interviews with him, and man, he is SO ... I don't know. So UNLIKE Bill, just lively and fun and witty. And better looking in RL, too (their makeup for him on TB is esp unkind).

And in other vampire news, I am putting together a theory about the season finale for Vampire Diaries.

And also taxes. oops. :(
Each year, as part of the Long Beach Grand Prix (one of the few car races in the US done on the city streets), Toyota runs the Pro/Celebrity race for charity. Last year, Brian Austin Green won, which was cool. And I certainly paid more attention to his race than I have before, with other celebs I'm not as much a fan of. (like, I vaguely knew when Keanu Reeves won a few years back but it wasn't as interesting)

However. This year? I'm scheming to actually attend, even though I know NOTHING about car racing. Because Michael Trucco's in the race. :D :D

some pics and blathering )

Next thing you know I'll be getting a motorcycle thanks to all my celeb crushes... :)

Ok, this is probably just a me thing, but after the news broke that Brian Austin Green married Megan Fox last week in Hawaii, I went over to ONTD and buried in the thread someone had found the MOST AWWWWW pics of them. and also I wish MY honeymoon pics were that good

so cute and happy )

Admittedly I followed him first, because of TSSC, but after paying attention, I don't care what anybody says: she might not be the brightest bulb ever, but she doesn't deserve anywhere near the crap that gets flung at her (at least one article blamed her for Jonah Hex bombing. seriously). She's not out partying, unable to go two days without getting drunk, and instead they hang out at home and she's been his son's mom for years now. I hope those two hotties make it work.
If you wanna give me a name, here's where you leave it.

In no particular order, ten "facts" about:

Sam Anders - BSG )

Talia Winters - B5 )

Derek Reese - TSCC )

Kyle Reese 2.0 - TSCC )

Dean Winchester - Supernatural )

More later!

FYI: Superman/Batman: Public Enemies -- the animated direct-to-dvd movie - SLASHIEST THING EVER.
"You killed my boy best friend, you bastard!"
Frantic clutching, near-death experiences, tearful farewells, and some rather arch dialogue.
For [livejournal.com profile] twelve_colonies, I made this crossover thing. I posted the smaller version over there, but I thought, hell, crack should be shared, right?

Kara = Sarah, y/y?

All this has happened before ...

It's one ginormous pic behind the cut... )

From ONTD,
Adorable Pics of BAG and Summer Glau in Japan promoting the series . The final macro is FTW!

Japan gets their DVDs in June. damn them.

And also I have managed to spell my First Prime's name three different ways through the fic. GOOD JOB, ME!

First, I will preface this by saying that during this movie was the ONLY time this entire fucking weekend my head hasn't been killing me.

So you will not be surprised that I liked it.

POPCORN AND LOTS OF SPOILERS AHOY! )

Speaking of Terminator, I gotta start my [livejournal.com profile] scc_reloaded fic. One of these days. Soonish.

People are trying to get SKIFFY to pick up SCC? Isn't that sort of like asking Lucifer to babysit, when your teenage babysitter flakes?

(a) not gonna happen
(b) even if it did, the show would get destroyed by budget cuts and incredibly STUPID programming, network interference, and hiatus decisions. DO NOT WANT.

Petitiion WB for a t.v. movie to sell to SciFi, I can see that as a possibility. But having Skiffy pick up the series, come on.

So. Judgment Day came today.

No Terminator: Sarah Connor Chronicles on the schedule. DAMN YOU, FOX.

Though it's not a big shock. In fact, it's kind of appropriate for a show that deals with fate and termination.

But I want to address something that I've seen mentioned in a few places that it doesn't make sense because Dollhouse's ratings were worse. But that's not all that's going on there.

If the choice was ever really between Dollhouse and TSCC, that's no choice at all for Fox.

IT'S ALL ABOUT THE MONEY )

But even though I get it and I've been sure this was gonna happen for quite awhile, it still sucks.

At least there is fic. *sniff*

SCC

SPOILERS )

I'm gonna go find my copy of last night's Supernatural, and be glad I have my pretty boys staring agog at Wincest for a laugh.

I can't take all my various angsty WIPs right now.
First, more for [livejournal.com profile] bsg_pornbattle:

Til you feel it, Anders/Leoben. Set during the Caprica resistance, and a prequel to my Sam/Leoben pseudo-series, begun in Hiding Myself in Your Eyes .

And some brief comments on teevee this past week:

LOST: He's Our You )

Supernatural: It's a Terrible Life )

TSCC: To the Lighthouse )

What a crappy bust of a weekend. wah. On Friday, besides feeling generally mildly icky, I also managed to pull something in my lower back, so the rest of the weekend was spent trying not to sit for too long and gingerly stretching to keep it from stiffening up (and getting MrLiz to rub my back, which was not a bad thing *g*). The several hours in the car didn't help but at least today I don't have to go take drugs, so it's better.

I watched a bunch of t.v. from a rather odd position on the floor or the couch - BSG and caught up on TSCC and Burn Notice.

For Deadlock, just briefly, since everyone else has already gone into such detail and I'm late to the party -- I think the basic story was fine, but the editing was incredibly frakked. It put emphasis where it shouldn't have been, and cut out or made implicit what should have been explicit. Like losing the parts about the Centurions and the marines? BAD CHOICE. We can only connect the dots if we have them, and here they were both cut, so we're left with spackling it ourselves. Which I find kind of fun (and it wasn't that hard here, since the solutions were pretty obvious), but I shouldn't have to, especially for things that are so fundamental to the decisions made within the show. Another, different cut would do wonders for the episode, IMO.

For SCC, we watched the last two eps back to back. The 8 o'clock timeslot is bad for us, since that's kidlet bedtime, so we always miss the first half, and have to go back and see it from the beginning later. spoilers for Good Wound and Desert Cantos )

On Burn Notice -- Hello there, Mark Sheppard. Again! When even hubby remarks on the BSG crossover actors, perhaps it's time to ease up.... But as always, it's frothy fun.

Why do I put off errands, until it is POURING WITH RAIN? gah. Still, must go. *bucks up to face the weird stuff falling from the sky*

Also, I am horribly tempted by the podcast for No Exit, but NO! I will stay strong.

Okay, speaking of behind-the-scenes writerly info? Verheiden just FEELING LIKE shooting my woobie in the head? *pout* They don't love you, like I do, Sam. *sniff*

*looks at open fic tabs and recent fic* er. maybe they do. actually.

Also T:SSC returns tonight! yay!

And I do appreciate Joss doing a favor for all of humanity (as he SAID), by putting Tahmoh in as few shirts as possible in Dollhouse, so, yay!
hm, it has been awhile. Last entry was.... oh yes. *snicker*

Apparently if you put "math" in the title of a meta, almost everybody runs away. I didn't even 'show my work'. My high school teachers would be sighing a lot.

let's see -- in personal life: Thanksgiving weekend was full of family and friends and kidlet vacation (a.k.a. keeping him entertained and out of trouble). I made mediocre green beans, and yummy cranberry relish, so it kind of balanced out for Turkey Day. The most interesting thing I shopped for all weekend was... wait for it... CHEESE. I ALMOST ordered something online for a present, though. Almost. I'm so tempted to get him all these cool things and I must resist!

In writing, I added a bit to part III of the Plot!Kraken. Oh yes, it's the annual Yuletide procrastination game!

In t.v.... I feel like I have things to say about SCC and Supernatural, but I don't really want to bother. Fandom disappoints me far more than the shows do, though. If I had a quarter for all the people indulging in some nostalgic glow for Old!Ruby, when 90% of fandom HATED Ruby... yeah. I'm kind of loving her even more now, but then I like Jesse on SCC too. I like characters who have their own agenda and don't lay it out for the audience's convenience.

Dexter continues to be a thing of beauty. Screwed up and WRONGY WRONG WRONG, but awesome. Miguel is the best foil for Dexter ever. "They told me it would come out!" SO FUNNY.

I managed to survive without LJ. Phew! It's still loading slowly for me, but at least it's there.

I keep finding scenes that I never QUITE finished. gah. I'm not quite as close to a complete draft as I thought. But still two major scenes plus some two or three left to clean up, that's all! \o/

Terminator:SSC ; I missed the first half so I need to rewatch, but I just want to repeat what I said yesterday on IM: Stephanie Jacobsen was really strikingly beautiful last night, and I am madly jealous of her hair and making out with Derek . And he was really hot in all his hardcore crazy. It's not good for him, but I like the way she brings out his trauma in a way that he kind of suppresses for John and Sarah. Oh Ellison, man, are we gonna be sorry Chromartie spared you?

The new Star Trek trailer makes me a bit more confident that it's not going to suck. Like the blogger at TWOP said, JJ Abrams does know how to make the first two hours of anything pretty compelling. So... *crosses fingers* (The Young!Kirk part is, however, lame)

Kidlet and I went out to get Wall-E today, so I know what our evening viewing is going to be!
