hm, it has been awhile. Last entry was.... oh yes. *snicker*

Apparently if you put "math" in the title of a meta, almost everybody runs away. I didn't even 'show my work'. My high school teachers would be sighing a lot.

let's see -- in personal life: Thanksgiving weekend was full of family and friends and kidlet vacation (a.k.a. keeping him entertained and out of trouble). I made mediocre green beans, and yummy cranberry relish, so it kind of balanced out for Turkey Day. The most interesting thing I shopped for all weekend was... wait for it... CHEESE. I ALMOST ordered something online for a present, though. Almost. I'm so tempted to get him all these cool things and I must resist!

In writing, I added a bit to part III of the Plot!Kraken. Oh yes, it's the annual Yuletide procrastination game!

In t.v.... I feel like I have things to say about SCC and Supernatural, but I don't really want to bother. Fandom disappoints me far more than the shows do, though. If I had a quarter for all the people indulging in some nostalgic glow for Old!Ruby, when 90% of fandom HATED Ruby... yeah. I'm kind of loving her even more now, but then I like Jesse on SCC too. I like characters who have their own agenda and don't lay it out for the audience's convenience.

Dexter continues to be a thing of beauty. Screwed up and WRONGY WRONG WRONG, but awesome. Miguel is the best foil for Dexter ever. "They told me it would come out!" SO FUNNY.

Darn! I actually read your math meta and forgot to comment - and, honestly, not sure what I'd say but, "You go math girl!" :)

well, it was either the math or just a boring entry, and I of course chose the MATH IS HARD! reason... :D

AAAH I am loving Dexter. It took a while for Miguel to grow on me, but I LOVE the dynamic between them now that they're trying to destroy each other. And the ending! Yikes!

hee, loved Miguel and their buddy-thing, with poor Dex all "Is this what it's like to have a friend?" and then finding out, no, his "friend" is not only a sociopath, too, but also totally USING him...

And then, yeah, that ending. yowza. Not sure whether Deb is going to find Dexter before Dexter manages to kill The Skinner. (we figure the finale is going to be Miguel becoming fish bait).

(I have no Dexter icons, so I'll make do with American Psycho. I, er, may have a problem... *g* )

I read your meta and liked it! I just got distracted, especially when my initial reaction was to log in as Scully and tell the first commenter to hush up. (In Scully terms, with exasperation) -- And, thus, I closed the window before giving into the urge (I once played Scully opposite his Mulder on Sages, iirc)

hee! that's okay, it's just it was rather funny that ALL THE GIRLS (well, most) ran away from the Scary math!

MATH IS HARD! Barbie told me so!

...maybe I also didn't reply because I was annoyed at the implication that not liking continuity errors made me lazy?

the dude said that there was no point trying to explain anything because it was a mistake. Which, yeah, if that's all the farther someone wants to look at it, fine, but don't go tromping all over my journal and tell me my meta is a waste of time. It annoyed me.

I'm sorry. I let myself get cranky, and about something stupid. Sigh. In actuality, my initial reaction to the first commenter was to smack him upside the head. Then I recognized him (cuing the Scully impulse). Then I read your reply.

And I liked your meta, I can go reply over there, too, if you want. But it's weird, because I finished reading it (at work) and was like, "Yes, right." Because you'd said stuff that made perfect sense.
