Apparently fandom really is just a slow slide down a slippery slope -- it starts so innocently with gen fic, moves to porn, sometimes with a side trip to slash, then onto increasingly cracked-out premises, ...

AND THEN TO RPF.

Many people get stuck somewhere along the way, but they clearly have far more stick-to-it-ness than I do.

If I ever write Wingfic (except where canon), someone shoot me, 'kay?

(and for the not-fannishly-obsessed portion of the flist: RPF is Real Person Fiction = Celebrity fic. You'll see an example of it in this very space quite soon. *hides face*)

oh, it's not done yet. *smiles brightly* Did I mention the EATING MY BRAIN part? But I need to get it out of here, so I have time to do other things. So, hopefully tonight or tomorrow.

But really, I exaggerate my horror. I've read some RPF (and I once wrote Ben/Matt slash before I even knew there WAS such a thing). So I don't think it's that bizarre or anything. Just not my usual thing (and I don't get why it's taken over my life for two days!).

But no wings. Only smut and I will never be able to look at either of them in the eye again.
