Tomorrow I expect to be bored out of my mind most of the day -- Jury Duty. With any luck I'll have someone interesting in my group at least. A friend of mine was in the same jury lounge (though not in the same court) as Kurt Russell. That would be cool. But hopefully I'll get called quickly so I'll get kicked quickly and can go home.

But I'm going to take my computer, just in case. With any luck I can work on some things.

Wow, is there nothing on t.v. or what? I guess it's time to actually WATCH all that stuff I have on my computer.

I did finally however sit down and watch the CSI with JR Bourne. OMG -- is this not incredibly awww...





she's supposed to be his (and Melinda Clarke's) grand-daughter! And there's a whole scene where he's watching her play, and I'm thinking -- oh, Sam and Martouf's kid! I think this could make a nice manip for some AU - or maybe some Ripple Effect-fic after Alter!Sam has the baby...

I've been technically on-call all week, but I only have to go in tomorrow. But that's actually good because once you're called in, then you either get placed on a jury that day or you're done (it's one day/one trial, we call it - it was a reform to get a wider jury pool).

Since no smart attorney is going to leave me on a jury (my family's in law enforcement), I get kicked as soon as they ask if there are people with conflicts. I've sat on civil trials before, but there aren't any at the court I'm being sent to tomorrow. So the probability of me actually serving is remote. it's just tedioius because I'll probably still have to sit around the jury lounge for several hours while the courts deal with other stuff.
