FIRST
So,
lyssie inspired me to pull my SG-1 toys out of their packaging and actually set up the Stargate. (not all of them, just enough to complete the Gate and ramp, I have a few variants as well) I felt quite a bit like Felger (OMG! FELGER!) They're not very dynamic, sorry. I had to put them up and then take them down before the rugrat came home, but for those who want to see the first two groups of SG-1 figures and the Gate, they're under the cut.

There's no question that Teal'c is the best likeness. Besides, he has knees! (Daniel and Jack don't. So I couldn't manage to pose them on the ramp). But the detail is pretty impressive, especially all the little accessories. Thor comes with three Replicator bugs and a tiny seashell-looking communicator thing! I'm not sure why they gave Sam a gun and Jack a zat, since Sam's carried a zat as her sidearm for quite some time now, but whatever.
The Jaffa comes with a pretty cool Serpent mask, but you have to pop off the guy's head to put it on, and I'm not brave enough. What if it won't go back on?
I have an extra Jaffa which I'm seriously considering repainting gold to make him into Apophis. Because yes, I have plenty of space for action figures. NOT. And I just know if I go down that route, I'm going to start customizing the ones I want and I have no time or space for them. (Baal! In that purple-white imperial outfit from Off the Grid, mmm. yes. Or a miniature Martouf, in Tok'ra desert camo!)
And I ordered Series Three, even though I HAVE Farscape figures somewhere in the garage and could probably just use my Aeryn and Crichton figs. I'm such a frelling completist, it's ridiculous.
SECOND
JR Bourne was on 24 and I did not know! Flist, you are all fired! Fortunately the torrent was still active and I have it now. (And yes, I know Shanks is going to be on it, that's why I was looking at IMDB in the first place).
THIRD
I have done hardly any writing, BUT I have been a very good fangirl in the swapping videos department. To any of my sources who wander here, be assured YOU ARE LOVED, and I'm paying it forward just as fast as I can. *g*

My brain works in strange ways while staring at B5 on my tv.

heh. It's not like I can't see it -- thinking about it, he probably is one of the more likely people that Sam might go for on B5. But until I was writing something that might bring them into proximity I don't think I'd have ever thought about it.
