Today we took off to go to Wizard World. Being Friday, there wasn't much there yet. We were really only going to check on the dealers hall as a trial run to see how the Rugrat might handle Comic-Con (the answer? Badly...).

So we're wandering around. There's a flyer on the booth where there are some signings tomorrow that there's been some last minute additions for today: Claudia Christian and Cliff Simon. Now, anyone who's read this journal more than twice knows that (a) I love Baal like a crazy woman, and I think Cliff Simon is awesome, and (b) Babylon 5 is my favorite fannish love and I haven't seen Claudia Christian for ages.

BUT.

The booth is empty. The booth stays empty the entire time we're there, and there's no note of the time they're coming.

So I missed them. :( Bummer.

In other news, I have a cold and bronchitis, so I'm coughing my head off. Ick.

heh. I wish.

Heck, if I can get my ass to DragonCon it'll be a frelling miracle. And I have a ticket for that!

OMGYAY. As do I.

Which begs the question: will the Kara/Anders DC contingent be larger than the Kara/Lee?

Somehow I'm dubious of our contingent being larger than frikkin Kara/Lee, but if Trucco actually comes then we can shower him with love, and all the K/L fangirls can be over there. *waves vaguely*

That would be awesome! I have really got to get my shit together and force persuade my husband that he really, really wants to go to Atlanta in Aug. Or just take off without him and child for the weekend.

Thats too bad, when talent says they are coming and then don't show up. Oh well.

I hope you feel better, get some chicken soup and drink more water.

We are currently burried under abput 8 inches of ice.

Ugh!

They weren't there when I was there, but I left early. So I assume they were there later, I'm jsut disappointed I missed 'em.

And I won't tell you my weather, since it would just be mean. *g*

Sorry to hear you missed Cliff Simon and Claudia Christian.

I hope you feel better soon. Ugh.

yeah, it was kind of a bummer. I didn't know about it until I got there, and then got all excited. The con was really sparsely attended and I'm sure I could've had a pretty good chat. But... *woe*

Ah well, better not to give Cliff my germs right before he goes to shoot Continuum, eh? So, maybe it was for the best. *g*

well, if it's a strong enough germ to take out a Tok'ra, it would affect a Goa'uld too. And, of course, the strategic balance in the galaxy requires that Baal not die, right? So I had to think of the big picture. *nods firmly*

Well you just reinforced my belief that it would be a very bad idea to take my little guy to a con anytime soon...

Hope you feel better soon!

rugrat was totally overwhelmed by the dealer's floor. It was too loud (he's very sensitive to noise) and too many things to see. He was okay in the hotel part, in the hall itself where the goings-on were more familiar and spread out. So it might depend on the con. Like, I could've taken him to Creation Burbank -- that was small and except for the vids, pretty quiet. The main problem there would've been his extreme boredom.
