A lot of people have already made similar comments that I would have so I'll just sum up:
1. Zarek. Where the hell was he? The one person who could have either been with the strikers or a great counter-example was totally MIA. Not even one "I told you so" tossed in Roslin's face. I'm not sure if his absence from this was more egregious than from 'Woman King' but they were both dumb.
2. I'm torn by my union=yay! instinct and "Jesus, do you think making your entire fleet sitting ducks (the last 40,000 people in existence) is anything besides STUPID?" Leaning heavily toward the "STUPID" side at the moment.
ETA: Since that sounds rather harsh, I'll add that I do like how it was resolved. I think both Adama and (especially) Roslin were too caught up in the necessary (the big picture) and didn't realize how bad the sitution was. And really, the fleet should have been rotating jobs a long time ago, to spread the knowledge base.
Related thought: Cottle should be surrounded by apprentices at all times. He should be the House of Galactica with a gaggle of ducklings learning from him at every opportunity -- he's another resource that they can't afford to lose. And Doc Roberts from Woman King -- racist Mengele or not -- he should be teaching basic medicine from his cell, maybe as a condition for privacy curtains or something. If you've only got two doctors, you damn well better be trying to make some more before the two you have drop dead.
3. Cally didn't get shot. Bummer. If they're not building her into being a Cylon, this has been a total waste of screentime.
4. The final scene with Kara, Tyrol, and Seelix is totally made of win!
5. I like the glimpse of the refinery. Some snazzy shots.
6. Baltar's "real" accent ... priceless.
Heroes
OMG!
Claire rocks. Matt is finally interesting. Bennet is tragic.
Claude was hiding someone. WHO?
HiroDad! whoa, did not see that one coming, at all.
I'm incoherent.
(I'd like to feel that way for BSG again, plz. Thankyouverymuch)
In writing news, I'm doing final edits on Distorted Reflections, tightening it up some more. The front half is more done than the back, but I figure I can start posting that while still going over the back. It'll sort of be a WIP that way, but not really, since it's done, just not complete in final revision yet. So, soon. Like, really, truly Soon. GULP.
See, me and my writing partner have been working on this literally for years now (six months of the delay isn't our fault, since we had a beta flake out on us halfway through. *sigh*) but now that it's getting time, it's a bit anxiety-provoking.
Anyway, I made a community for it so people can friend
