our cable company recently "realigned" all our channels and we have discovered The Tube TV, which is all 80's videos. I've seen DM's "Personal Jesus", a minor hit from the Cars (forgotten the song already), REM's "Stand", Tracey Chapman, etc. The Cars one was particularly hilariously bad. It was so early in video making thing, and man, does it show. The songs hold up (say I, in my "boy are you old" sort of 80's fangirl way), but the videos, not so much.
OMG, "RIO"!. Wow, the film quality has really degraded. It's all fuzzy and the colors are washed out. I remember the other girls were all hot for the guys -- I wanted the boat.
Huh, I take it back. They're not all 80's songs. For here's "Black Horse and the Cherry Tree."
And now it's a 20-year-old concert video for The Who. This is my new favorite channel, OMG.

And at least a lot of these, they tried, y'know? And there was enthusiasm and experimentation, even if sometimes the end result was a bit scary.

"Love Shack"'s on now. This channel is like the soundtrack to my prom (minus the KT Tunstall).
