Angels. Evil cherubs pattering around like demonlings. *shudder* The Statue of Liberty being the StayPuft Marshmallow Man was hilarious. and I'm sorry all you nitpickers out there who are like "That can't work! blahblahblah." Whatever. IT WAS AWESOME.

Amy and Rory get to retire from adventuring in the wrong time and country, but at least they're alive, together, and remember. So that's a win, to me. Hearing Amy say Melody and hold her hand was unexpectedly wrenching. But y'know, I also wonder if in the 60's, a certain little regenerating girl in New York finds them? At least for a little while before the Silence take her back? That's my head-canon and you can't take it from me.

River's noir book! Also, the whole married ness of Eleven and River was great. Less great is realizing when they made a point of pardoned, Professor Song, is that we really are gonna get that last Eleven/River meet before the Library, before Matt and/or Moffat leave. Maybe even this year? *pre-emptive crying* (I do love the cleverness that Eleven's erasing himself from the 'verse is how River gets pardoned and forces the Library one step closer, though, even if it's tragical) And Matt's face in that moment - Eleven knows. So in a way, he's operating on the awareness in the entire episode that River is about two steps from leaving him, and thus he FREAKS THE FUCK OUT at the thought that the Ponds might go, too.

Also, I buy the theory that Dinosaurs, Mercy and Power of Three take place after "Angels" for Eleven (maybe Daleks, but I'm not sure). We see them as Amy and Rory live them, but they all form a string that Eleven goes to them after Angels to have adventures. That's why he's willing to stick around in the Slow Invasion. He learns that they're okay with a normal life and it's him who has to let go - that's why Power of Three feels like a farewell, too, because it's Eleven's farewell to them.

Anyway. <3 PONDSES.

and meanwhile,

Reunion scene *rewind* that was AMAZING. everything it should be. Right down to David's response to Henry calling him Grandpa. lolol. and then later? WHEN THEY ARE ALL ALONE IN Snow and Emma's apt? OH GOD MY HEART. Also, yo, Universe, if you don't think David/James/Charming (are we settling on David for his 'real' name too, since that's what Snow called him, I guess?) and Snow are going to find a way back to each other, you are extremely mistaken.

Snow and Emma and Mulan and Aurora band together and fight crime! so maybe not right away, but since I bet Aurora knows Snow, it'll probably get fixed sooner rather than later. I don't mind Mulan having feelings for Philip - she didn't let them get in the way, and was a grown up about it, and that's the part that's important. Very awesome.

Okay, so that was not what I wanted really out of Aurora and Philip, but I'll take it for what we did get. (I expected them to screw Philip in some fashion since David and Emma already killed dragons; they weren't going to that well again with him and that's Philip's big moment of awesome). I did laugh at how FairyTaleLand men are apparently Cylons, as they all look alike. Small gene pool, I guess. heh.

I'm very fond of the theory that Mystery Dude is the White Rabbit. The pocket watches, even the falling phone, work for that, plus the White Rabbit could move between our world and Wonderland so it's conceivable he was able to get away or was here, when the curse fell. Then the card would be from Jefferson to report the curse broken. The other prevailing theory is that he's Baelfire and it was August's card, but that seems too quick and easy.

You know what would be funny? if Doctor Whale isn't Monstro from Pinocchio, but from Moby Dick. No, no idea how it would work, but that's a famous literary whale after all and I don't see why Wonderland and Neverland should be 'real' and not Moby Dick.

And while I'm making up characters, they should bring in Zachary Levi, maybe next season, and have him play Eugene/Flynn, because who else you gonna pick, right? (and since Marvel's part of Disney they could even get a joke in there about David and Eugene looking alike or taking each other's place. *snicker*)

Plus Olivia Wilde could reprise Quorra, because that would be greatness. Tempted to write that since we're not likely to get it for real and it could be so awesome.

I know, but that was probably a couple of hours of VO work. I doubt she'd be willing to do it live action for a week in Vancouver -- she's got about a dozen projects in the pipe, and t.v. doesn't seem like it fits in to her plans anymore. But I would love it if she did.

And that sucks about the DW scene being on the DVDs. boo

Not if you have the set. Which I do. ;)
