Not that I want to be all competitive and all (EVEN THOUGH I TOTALLY AM), bsg_epics is doing a ship fic "battle", and K/S could use some support. Details and ficlets go here . Deadline is 9 AM East THURS. GO. We are small but we can be mighty. At least a respectable showing, c'mon, gogogo. :D

I am completely confused by that post. (Okay, not so much the post as the threads.) Are you supposed to leave pairings/prompts for specific people to write? Are you supposed to pick a pairing/prompt from those left and write them yourself? Are you supposed to put up a thread of your own for other people to leave you fic? Or for other people to leave you prompts and then write your own fic?

(I blame lack of sleep and too much mind-numbing work for the lack of thinkability.)

I shall summarize (because yes it's tl;dr confusing). You can ask for prompts if you want them, otherwise don't worry about the prompts part. The main thing is just to post the ficlets as top-level comments, not as replies to comments, for them to be counted.

Really "winning" is pretty futile - it's just to win focus on the ship for discussion day, and lord knows I don't need a lot of people talking about how K/S doesn't work for them,. I just don't wanna be swept with nada, cuz that's hella embarrassing. :)

Sam should be hawkeye for pairing purposes but he's kind of Thor too in that whole ifrom another earth and tallness... And I don't know who to use for the other one.

Helo. Helo would make an excellent Thor. And Hawkeye has angst. Though he isn't as tall as Thor, true.

(it breaks down a little, of course, as Helo doesn't have siblings, but Leoben would be an excellent Loki)

But yeah, that's true, you can't really poke at these fusions too hard or they fall apart. One or two traits are about all the further you can get usually.
