Still one of the most perfect hours of television.

First Cylon occupied Caprica and our first glimpse of She-Who-Will-Be-Athena Sharon. OMG, you people who didn't watch in real-time have no idea of the complexities of trying to refer to the Sharons. At first it was Caprica!Sharon and Galactica!Sharon -- but then, of course, that had to switch around when Athena reached the fleet and Boomer downloaded and appeared on Caprica. I was so grateful we could finally start saying Sharon Agathon and Sharon Valerii once the Agathons got married! (and then her callsign made it easier still). And also ff.net was SO screwed up for awhile.

Anyway, so now we see the beginning of the Cylon plan for Helo, with the arrival of Sharon to "save" him from the Six.

Gaius gets some theological shoving from Red.

The Fleet has a Really Really Bad Terrible five days, having to jump every 33 minutes. I guess I forgot in the pre-Pegasus days especially, how understaffed Galactica actually is. Pilots I understood they're short-handed, but at the beginning I was like "Why can't they take shifts?" at CIC, and then they mention that there isn't anyone else. It really is that understaffed. hrm. I know the ship was about to be a museum and retired, but wasn't it fully staffed with at least two shifts worth of people at the attacks? Plus they picked up at least a few stragglers...

And a wild Crashdown appears! "he's a refugee from the Triton", Boomer snarls, when his main fault is that he's not Helo. and also he'll turn sort of crazy and he's a vampire, but she doesn't know that.

We get our first acknowledgment that Boomer's a Cylon when she's not as tired as everyone else.

No idea why I've always remembered Kara's discussion with Lee about "Good hunting" but it seems to crop up in my fic all the time. heh

Argh, I keep having to leave before I quite finish, but I figure better to have something up, since I don't know when I'll get time later. But if you want to add anything, about Olympic Carrier, or whatever, feel free.

Ilove reading your re-watch reviews, sorry this is the first that I've commented on, but I am reading :)

I don't think they had any choice regarding the fate of the Olympic Carrier.....

I have been doing my own rewatch also recently, but I'm so slow with it due to RL

thanks! I'm glad if people are getting anything out of them! It's good for me to know people are reading / even though I really want to, rewatch isn't exactly a priority unless I HAVE to do it even for specious, self-inflicted deadlines!

and no, I don't think they had any choice either, not when the OC wouldn't stop and it was armed. But poor Lee and Kara, . (and Bill and Laura too) : :(
