I got the most adorably polite request to translate my Person of Interest fic for last Yuletide into Mandarin. Now I wish I could read even the tiniest bit of chinese to be able to look at it, because that's cool y'all.

ahhhh, Stanton's back!!!! And John sat right next to Jessica's husband back in 2008! love that.
(I'm a little freaked out that Stanton recognized him, too, though. What kind of creepy levels of information did she have on John? Maybe she DID have Jessica murdered just to get John with the program?)

I love how 'behind enemy lines' is NEW YORK. heh
Snow is still a smarmy SOB who deserves John shooting him in the head.

Aww, I felt for Fusco in this. He barely escaped in this one, and I'm going to be hugely surprised if he makes it out of the season alive.

while shot ('grazed') - though I'm not sure why he was really unconscious then - just dazed from the trip in the trunk I guess? or he was hit on the head earlier, too

The only person on this show who can keep up with Reese in the badassery department is CARTER! (And after seeing her trunk *ahem* Reese is crushing on her HARD yo.)

Crap, I didn't even think about that. (I'm so glad Stanton was brought back for more flashbacks.)

John Reese is scarily good at obsessing over people and locking them into categories. Jessica: the girl he loves and can't have and maybe no one else can? Fusco: the bad cop/asset. I get why Reese had Fusco work with "HR". It keeps Fusco as a valuable asset to Finch and Reese. But it's a scary trait nonetheless.

I was wondering about why Reese was unconscious in the car trunk as well. Something to look for when I obsessively watch again.

Week one of the Fusco report: not dead yet. Though not for lack of trying by certain people.

She recognized Jessica's husband ON SIGHT. That's creepy. Jessica I could buy as being in John's file, but why was Jessica's husband of any concern at all? that's knowing a little too much, IMO. (maybe they didn't think that through, though, hard to know at this stage how much to read into it)

Yeah, i think he elevated Jessica as the one who got away (reminds me of how Rachel tells Bruce in Dark Knight that she can't be his hope for salvation) , but everyone else is categorized as asset/target/neutral and he doesn't trust anybody, not really. He trusts Carter to the extent that he believes she's a good person, doing the right thing, and that makes her predictable, but that's not really a personal trust, that's just categorizing her strength as an asset (and weakness - she'd never work inside the bad cops, for ex). Whereas Fusco's strength is that he was dirty, and nowtthat the "operation" has run up against these bad cops severral times now I think John's putting his asset in place to take them down. Methodical, but brutal, too.

Maybe that was a director mis-cue with the trunk? Or was he smacked in the head after Undercover dude shot him? MUST WATCH AGAIN. :D
