Special treat for Person of Interest fans: CBS will be posting a producer commentary version for the Pilot on Monday at cbs.com (as rose_griffes has also mentioned, before me, I see).

But to summarize: Jonah Nolan tells the full story of how Jim Caviezel was waiting for a cue during a night shoot in Brooklyn and heard an actual crime in progress nearby. Some drunken dick was beating up his girlfriend. And Caviezel ran over and stopped it. Himself. Without even telling the crew what the hell he was doing; he just disappeared (though they could hear through the mic he was wearing). You know how I say this show is basically Batman without capes? DUDE IS BATMAN IN REAL LIFE.

Isn't it fantastic? I'd heard Nolan mention the story before in a radio interview, but this was the first time I'd heard the whole thing. He says Caviezel is the anti-bully, or something like that.

SO, basically, Batman. :D
