bsg_epics: (which I totally thought was obvious, but apparently not. So maybe my POD fic isn't as obvious as I expect either....)

They are in the airlock, they've been found out. And it's all about to end exactly as Sam always knew it would from the moment they all woke up at the nebula. Months of secrets are finally out in the open. He remembers Kara's horrified eyes as they dragged him away, and all he can hope is that she listened, and she'll figure it out.
He wants to be angry - to demand why all his fighting suddenly means nothing at all - but Galen and Saul are here, too, and It all feels so damn familiar suddenly.
It was always going to end this way. After Jammer, after all those during the Circle, he can't even say it's not deserved.
For an instant, he remembers, a flicker at the edge of awareness: five of them in an airlock. Five of them shouting and Galen and Tory trying to rewire the hatch. And then... deep, burning cold.
This has all happened before... What he doesn't know is whether it will happen again. Will he wake up after this? Or is this it? Is he going to die for good, like a human, now that the Hub's gone? Does he have a soul? Maybe he'll finally get some answers to understand why this is happening to him.
He tried to do the right thing and fight for his people,but the gods have had their laugh at his expense. There are seconds left in the game, he's down twenty points, and his team never had a chance at the playoffs anyway.
So he closes his eyes and waits for the final buzzer to sound.
