I have finally now officially caught up on all Eleventh Doctor eps. I had tried to watch Cold Blood when I DVR'd it from a marathon on BBCA a few weeks back but something happened in the broadcast/recording so the picture kept downgrading and pixelating into unwatchability. So I had to find it another way. ahem.
Cold Blood ... THE ONE WHERE RORY DIES. oh wait....let me narrow it down a little...
poor bbs. But um, it kinda makes me lol Poor Rory becoming the Kenny of DW. But I think that's why his leveling up into a badass struck so fiercely in 'A good man goes to war.' He's a character who became a joke (a nice and competent lovely fella, but still Rory was a meme and a joke), and then suddenly, NOT. I mean, really, how can you not love a dude who puts on a Roman outfit AND CARVES HIS WAY THRU A ZILLION CYBERMEN AND is there on the command center to kick ass or chew gum, and HE'S ALL OUT OF GUM? Seriously. Does it get more deliberately Crowning Moment of Awesome? No. It does not.
Anyway, back to the Lizard People eps. Made me think about how much it has to suck For the Doctor after that to hold onto the secret of Rory's existence, esp as Amy sort of rememebrs once in a while, and then of course, what he has to hold back from River. Obv he's more used to it, but still, suckage.
Though of course it does make my head hurt, because River still existed while Rory, at least in theory, didn't and had never existed. Though otoh, I suppose River was born after the universe was rebooted, and the River we see in Silence/Pandorica is actually from the Rebooted Universe, not the one in which Rory was dead even though she was physically IN that universe.
Though if it's just a memory thing and not an actual physical erasure...? I suppose that's what they imply with the ring still existing.. So physical artifacts would continue to exist - the ring, all the people he'd helped in the past wouldn't suddenly lose his help, so thye'd continue to exist, his sperm... lol
(there was a break for sleeping and I lost my train of thought... PARDON THE RAMBLING)
I remember I had some sort of thought about how Amy and Rory seein themselves ten years later meant something especially in the context for how the Doctor insisted that peace w/the Silurians was an opportunity that could change the future but now I lost it, so whatev. Maybe it'll come back to me.
And in far less serious business stuff, it's Michael Trucco's Birthday today.
41 fabulous years of ever-increasing handsomeness and wonderfulness.
(I mean, seriously, I've never heard a bad word. He gets along with everybody, is unfailingly awesome at cons, funny as hell, still madly in love with his wife, and gets better-looking. HOW IS HE REAL? )
Here, have a gif and picspam from my Fuckyeahmichaeltrucco spam posts today.

and hey, this one actually worked, instead of the FAIL at FYMT. :/
May there be many many more!
