I was planning to upload my backlog of fic to ff.net at lunchtime, and then realized how much of it is there is.

People's Choice Awards are so absurd. It's like an EW poll on steroids. I'm sure it's fun for the shows/people who win, and it's probably a nice excuse to get hammered for the rest of the audience, but I can't believe how many people watched it. And how did Natalie Portman have time to do all that prep and shoot Black Swan and STILL be in every movie coming out in the next three months?
Here are the final seven films in contention for Visual Effects Oscar nom: Alice in Wonderland, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1, Hereafter, Inception, Iron Man 2, Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, and Tron: Legacy. I know nothing about Hereafter (other than it's the afterdeath movie by Eastwood), didn't realize it had much in the way of VFX. But it's really just Inception and everyone else anyway, I suppose.
Fun back-to-back ep(s) of Human Target last night. Indira Varma is a hoot, holding her own against Mark Valley, and helps the show a lot, IMO. She was really great last night, giving Ilsa a lot of depth and it ended perfectly.

I'm so glad I stopped watching that show. Except for the musical numbers, of course.

Nah, Inception's not going to get a pity Oscar. It think it'll get six noms: Director, screenplay, Art direction, Sound, sound fx editing, and VFX.and it'll win the last three. :)

I was pretty impressed with last night's second ep which was more Ilsa focused. Still not a fan of the sidekicks mostly, but Ilsa and Chance are fun.
