Who's having a day...
a cracky faux deleted scene from Shadowed Sky
Kara was cranky after dealing with Gaeta all frakking day, and looking forward to getting out of uniform and out to Joe's.
She found Sam sitting cross-legged on the rack, wings draped behind him. He was shirtless, and was bent over something in his hands. He glanced up, with a quick smile. "Hey."
"What're you doing?" she asked, opening her tunic.
He held up the black thing in his hands, though she still couldn't tell what he was holding, and a needle and thread. "Fixing my old shirt so I can wear it," he explained, and added, as she headed for the cabinet, "The laundry hasn't come back yet."
That meant no clean tanks and no BDUs since hers were in the laundry. "Damn it." She stalked to the hatch, opened it to check if there were clean clothes approaching, but saw no one. She slammed it shut again and turned to look at Sam again, who'd gone back to sewing ties onto his shirt.
She put her jacket in the cabinet and then took off her boots. Then keeping her eye on Sam, she stripped off her pants, too. He didn't look at her at all, his attention supposedly entirely on his handiwork, but she could see twitching in his back.
Too bad he had nothing she could take in triad -- with the wings as a tell, she could clean him out in a couple of rounds.
She put her trousers away and then padded to the rack in her bra and underwear, determined that if she had no clean clothes and no Joe's to go drinking, she might as well have some fun.
He still didn't raise his eyes, even when she was standing right beside the rack, and she knew he was doing it deliberately. "Sam?"
His lips twitched as he bit off the end of the thread. "Hm?"
"If you don't put that aside, I'm going to stab you with that needle."
"Patience," he advised, and knotted the thread. Way too slowly.
She grabbed the shirt and flung it to the desk. "Frak patience."
He finally looked up, grinning, and clasped her waist. "How 'bout we skip straight to frakking?"
She poked him in the side hard enough to make him flinch. "I should make you wait," she muttered, but leaned forward into his mouth anyway.
They didn't need clothes for awhile after that.
