Facts about my new washer/dryer:

- they use less water and energy. which is good, of course, and why we bought them. (and also the others were old and gross)

- however, they have a CRAAAAAZY amount of options. This thing washes clothes, not flies jet fighters, but you wouldn't know it from the front panels.

- switching from top loading to front loading has also exposed that the floor is not as solid as it probably should be. So, if in a year's time, I write about the wash machine falling through my floor, you'll know it started here!

- I'm also crazy in love with the SONG IT PLAYS to tell you everything's done. It's so happy and bouncy! hee

Ooo what kind of washer and dryer did you get?

Yes, I am that nerdy... but I'm looking for a new washer and dryer (my current one is old and cheap and left behind by the previous owners of my place apparently for good reason... it takes 2 hours to dry one load of delicates. It's insane and wasteful and ruining my clothes.) so I'd love to know what you picked out and if you like it!

We got LG front-loading ones. We got a really fabulous deal at a memorial day sale! So far I like it -- we made sure to get the one with the allergen cycle since Kidlet has bad allergies to dust mites, so that was important to us. I'm still getting used to the dryer, since it seems to need a bit higher temperature in our humidity to get things to really dry, but it's almost infinitely adjustable.
