So I'm writing this crack!fic. And y'all who know about Teh Evol Heather know of what I speak. :)
But this is a general whine about my complete and utter inability to write crack. Apparently I have to actually be, like, on crack to write crack!fic. Because it's jumped the bounds of crack-ness. Two thousand words and maybe a third the way through the plot, I have to give up and admit it's an actual story.
Because I have nothing better to do of course.
I just couldn't do it. The old brain said, "But why would he do that?" And I had to come up with an answer that made sense. I think my muse was holding a knife to the poor little purple crack bunny and threatening it with grisly death, unless his more serious cousin came to visit. It came very quickly. :D
I suspect it's all the story editing I've been doing lately. Editing isn't very creative, and all that energy's gotten pent up and just insisted that I write something. And the challenge was right smack in the way. It was probably best left alone, but... too late now. At least, unlike most of my ideas, it's not a frelling novel, so that's a plus.
Back to the fic. Because, crack or not, it's very addictive.

Some people write hilarious crackfic. I'm not one of them. I like my canon too much, to go all wild with it, as much as the idea appeals to me.
And no, I have no idea why the term is "crack" instead of something else. :) It didn't originate in any of my fandoms; I just picked it up in the great fandom hive-mind.

Just got outof the pool, which is about as warm as a bath tub, but strangly refreshing. We are planning on doing something cool for dinner since the meal perdium here is $59 and we have only spent $6.
