lizardbeth: (Vala - oops)
([personal profile] lizardbeth Jan. 29th, 2010 07:38 pm)
D'oh! I typo'd the title in the porn battle version of Similarity and Difference. "Similiary" is not a word, self!

And snurched from, like, all over:
Comment with the name of a (or some) female character(s) and I'll tell you why I love her. In return, you can do the same in your journal.

mmm... I love Caprica because she commits completely, with her whole BEING. She committed to her mission to Gaius, and learned how to love. From that she learned how to make her own decisions and then committed to those decisions with Boomer. And when it went sour, she didn't turn to bitterness, she kept that love in her, and I think, drew strength from that, enough to take that leap into the unknown and help Sharon and Hera. She grew so much as a person - in a time when so many characters kind of shrank in on themselves, she was still reaching out.

(okay, I'm totally incoherent, but you get the gist. *g*)

Oh, Vala. I love Vala because she took everyone at the SGC completely off-guard. No I take that back, she took them off guard ALL THE TIME. She's charming and wicked and people who underestimate her do so at their peril. She's used to standing on her own, she likes getting her own way and plots how to do that. But she's a good person, and if you get under her bravado, she's got a sort of fragile heart.

I LOVE JULIET BECAUSE (okay, maybe not *G*) she is smart, she is loyal to her friends, she's a doctor but she can shoot guns. She has a big heart that cares about people, even someone who's going to grow up to be a terrible person. I love her because she's usually the smartest person in a five block radius and she knows it. I love her because in all her badassery, she's still that scared girl who didn't quite believe in love.

Oh, and also? SHE FELL DOWN A HOLE WRAPPED IN IRON CHAINS AND STILL SET OFF A NUCLEAR BOMB. that's how awesome she is!

OH yes. I FORGOT TO MENTION the snark in my rush to her CROWNING MOMENT OF AWESOME. :D.

it's hard when there's so much to remember. ..

and really, I misspoke. -- that should be SUCKED DOWN A HOLE, it's not like she tripped or something. "Fall" makes it sound so mild...

*giggles*

The thing that kills me about that...she CHOSE to let go because she knew that Sawyer wouldn't. So she had to let go so he wouldn't get sucked down with her. THAT's how awesome she is! *sobs*

WORD.

We now have T-Minus FOUR DAYS until we find out what happened when she did that! (though I expect it will be several more eps before we know about her, so I'm not going to hold my breath for that part).

eeeeeeeeee!

(I'll attempt to not write an essay, *g*)

Kara, because she's the best there is at what she does -- she's a fighter. She's smart, and doesn't quit. She's got a shell of bravado that's nearly impenetrable, but unlike most people, it's earned. She's loyal and fiercely protective of things that are 'hers". She loves deeply, but the pain of loss hurts her just as deeply, because she's had so much of it already, so she tends to armor herself against it and try to push it away, but really, she can't help it, because she's just a such a passionate spirit.
