Finally found out my nominations. And yes, it's plural, nominations. YAY! Of course it's awesome! People who don't like to be nominated, are lying or far more personally secure than I am, anyway. Thank you to anyone reading this who did any of the nominating. I'm very flattered. :)

Not to mention stunned, since I didn't know anyone even liked one of them.

Although it's also made me aware of how pathetically small my, erm, Stargate oevre is. All of my completed SG-1 stories got a nomination. All of them. And I didn't have to cull any to meet the maximum number of works in competition. I know I am very slow (and working on the Novel-that-ate-Tokyo didn't help matters), but... still... that strikes me as quite sad.

Makes me want to go write lots of short things.

Which in turn makes me want to laugh hysterically because short is incredibly hard for me. Very few of my ideas come in the 'short story' variety. What few I've written tend to be singular bursts of inspiration or reactions to a particular event/problem in the show. Even my drabbles burst their cages and go on rampages.

And yet I'm not a terribly verbose writer, I don't think. Just ideas and plots that don't like to be confined within fifteen hundred words or less...

But I am really very happy about my noms. Even if Drama appears to be my default category (hm, not H/C, not UST, not pre-slash, not action-Adventure, not crossover, not AU, not Darkfic...)

But heh, I'm amused by the thought of someday choosnig categories for my "Going Home" sequel (presuming I ever actually finish it)-- there'll be a veritable banquet of possible categories for that one. Shouldn't count my chickens quite yet, I suppose.

I think there was a point in there somewhere, but I lost it. It's late and I really should be asleep by now. But I was waiting for a download, and now it's done so I'm off.

I saw two of yours (you can look at the list of other people who have also submitted their nominations, which was interesting). And I did wonder at putting Symbiotica (the archive) in fanfic, not in multimedia. Is that right? Seems very odd somehow... so, yes, it's sort of clunky

You can do that? Can you tell me if my stuff is up?

I'm listed as Selmak, naturally . :)

When you're logged into the SFA system go to this page:

http://www.stargatefanawards.com/eFic/

then scroll down to the very bottom and there'll be four genres and a number of works in each genre, just click on that number and it'll put you in the database. You can look your story up by title and stuff (not by author, or I'd do it for you). I looked early enough that I could scroll through and see them all, but there are now well over four hundred, so it's easier to search, I think.

And if we're only counting stuff I wrote last year -- well, that's two, which is not exactly the pinnacle of prolificness. Prolificity? whatever. :)

congrats on your nom, too!
