Everyone's covered with a pinch-hit so now the whole she-bang is open for scribbling! You can go forth to the Dear Yuletide Writer post and look for a fandom and/or request you like. There is also a handy Google docs index linked there. Stories over 1000 words go in the yuletide2009 collection, shorter stuff in the Yuletide madness collection.
You do not need to be a Yuletide participant to go wild now. The more the merrier! I believe that AO3 is still pushing out invites as soon as they're requested right now, if you're not already a member.
