I will not keep refreshing my inbox obsessively to look for my Yuletide match. No. I will not. *twitch*

THE WONDER TWINS are being introduced on Smallville tonight. "Form of hedgehog! Shape of Snowflake!" *giggle* There's a whole lot of crack being smoked at the CW...

The Prisoner remake debuts on Sunday on AMC as a three-night miniseries. With Jim Caviezel and, in the most perfect casting ever, Ian McKellen. (yeah, Skiffy - glad to see you're still pursuing quality miniseries... oh, right. Where'd those go?)

I don't know about anyone else, but I'm going to 2012 to watch LA get destroyed. It's a... thing. Volcano would be far less awesome if it was set in Chicago -- but it's LA so I love it to little bitty hilarious bits. (The Macarthur Park Fountain BOILS. They send LAVA past my house! How is that not awesome?) I can only hope for some equally awesome mayhem this time. (I am highly amused that some Brazilians were apparently OMG!SHOCKED that the movie destroys the Christ statue. Destroying the world and killing billions of fictional people is okay, but don't you dare pretend to topple the statue!)

I want to see 2012 for lulz as much as I want to see Avatar for the amazing graphics.

I think 2012's hitting my apoca-kink, really hard.. *g* I watched one of those promotional things on cable, and they were basically shooting cars out of cannons to get footage of them falling on the street. MUST GO.

But yeah, both seem like they're for the sheer spectacle of it, which is just fine with me. Smaller, arty movies do very well on t.v. - big ass fX extravaganzas are for really big screens, I figure.
