Manic Monday

No school today because of the holiday, which meant lots of running around and Kidlet Entertainment. Among other things I taught Kidlet how to play Battleship (actually, NOT inspired by the twelvecolonies game, but by the front page of the Business section, talking about the upcoming Battleship MOVIE. yes, feature film. Also on the way, Candyland, and VIEW-MASTER).

We watched the premiere of Dexter last night.

I knew John Lithgow could do creepy, and... yeah. and also I don't need to see his naked ass EVER AGAIN. But I already love the complications with Dexter's accident, and Lundy being around (I keep thinking it's "Landy", which makes me think of Pamela Landy from the Bourne films, and then I wonder if they're like related or married or something, and it starts getting weird)

ANYWAY, Deb getting all flustered and babbly was cute and awesome.

Is it me or is Quinn even more of a dick this season? gah. This keeps up and I'm gonna hope Trinity or Anton or someone takes him out. (I'm not entirely sure what his motive is beyond thinking Dexter's a freak. Which, okay, is kind of true, but he hasn't been that weird around Quinn. I don't remember Quinn being suspicious of Dexter last season, though it was a while ago.)



Oh, the local news is reporting that the man who climbed into the grizzly bear exhibit is being held for psychiatric evaluation. NO! REALLY? Y'THINK?

Oh! Did you maybe miss the scene in the beginning where Dexter was in court but really tired because of the baby, and he messed up his testimony on Quinn's case? He brought the wrong notes and testified about a whole other suspect and thus the evidence was thrown out and the suspect freed. Quinn was absolutely furious with him.

Although, as even Quinn said himself last night, he's pretty much an asshole regardless.

OH! THANK YOU! I totally missed that! Probably hubby channel flipping, grr. THat would definitely get Dexter on Quinn's bad side, yeah. NOW ALL IS EXPLAINED! :)
