Yesterday, we saw the very cool sight of an accident where a car had just sheared off a fire hydrant and the water was shooting twenty feet in the air. Ironic, because of the water restrictions, but still neat to see.

We went to a taiko drums performance today. Loud, but awesome. I was impressed Rugrat got through as long as he did, since he's still really sensitive to loud noises.

Let's see: saw this week's Burn Notice and last season's finale to Leverage again to get ready for the premiere later.

As I am a terrible caffeine addict, I tried the new McDonald's mocha. Ye Little Gods,is that THE MOST AWFUL and disgusting thing EVER. I'm not a coffee snob, by any means, but that was very nearly undrinkable. How did they get hot chocolate with coffee SO WRONG? *gag*

And in other home news, I'm doing more re-writes/adding to Tartarus and... *sigh* Two weeks! TWO WEEKS! I AM NOT READY!

Oh thank god, that someone who isn't a coffee snob thinks that McD's mocha is awful. I am a coffee snob. And their mocha is horrific... it's a nightmare.

So I didn't get 'lucky' with the badly made one I guess... It's a corporate formula, then.

WHYYYYYYY SO BAD, MCD's?

I think, to be horribly coffee snob about it, that they start off with horrid coffee to begin with. I mean it's "restaurant" coffee, so you got to give some slack, but IHOP and Perkins both have pretty decent coffee for a restaurant. McD's...well you start with hideously inferior beans and probably really cheap cocoa, you get a horrific drink. :(

Even if they are owned by Phillip Morris, I so <3 Starbucks!

D and I keep making fun of the McD mocha because the one we pass on the way to the hospital has a sign that says, "Try our new mocha & Angus burger." We keep wondering when people started using coffee as a burger condiment.

y'know, using the mocha as a marinade/condiment might actually be the perfect solution!

Awww, glad you had a good weekend and too bad about the evil coffee. I'm addicted to these strawberry freeze smoothy drinks they have at Sonic, that are SO good and have real strawberries in them. But they probably don't have the best of all fast foods, Sonic, in LA. Do they??

Miss you! Sign in and chat sometime or fic with me. ;>) I need to do an update, but it's been very busy lately. Have been packing at Tom's all weekend this weekend. Only two weeks until he moves in.

Take care!

hey you! long time no see talk to! Sorry, I haven't even opened gmail in, like, two weeks, so I totally suck. :( I need to do that. *sigh*

The end of Rugrat's school and his summer "break" have just been busy and tiring. Otherwise I'm trying to finish this SG1 fic, finally and for real, so that's been taking up my brain. Two more weeks and that'll be done!

(so about the time you get Tom in. hee! glad you got that sorted)

Aww, I know, it's hard. I've been really busy this summer also. Though now it's just moving in stuff since thankfully the wedding is finally over!

Good luck with the fic, I can't wait to read. ;>)

LOL yes, we got it sorted out. Though selling his place is gonna be a pain, I'm afraid. It'll go on the market as soon as we get him moved next week. Wish me luck with it all. I'm actually flooded with Harry Potter fic fever tonight after seeing the movie and feeling all nostalgic for that, but sadly, don't think I'll have a lot of time for the next couple of weeks.

I will try to comment more to make up for the lack of chatting. ;>)
