We're watching Food Detectives, and they're making mixed drinks with liquid nitrogen to do things like freeze the gin into cubes for gin and tonic, and frozen tequila shots. THAT IS SO AWESOME! I WANT SOME. *wanders away to find booze, is disappointed by the lack of liquid nitrogen in the house*
They also did a trick of serving the same food - one with plain descriptions and no presentation and the other the opposite -- and of course the food with the fancy presentation and names rated more highly. But four points higher (on a scale of 1 to 10)? damn. people are stupid and gullible.
I made lamb vindaloo tonight, and the rice was too dry. I always forget to add more water for long grain rice to the cooker. *sigh* At least there was sauce, and it was pretty yummy.
