Winter and summer writing plans

We got our tree today. Have not yet brought it inside because we are lazy and my back is killing me already. PSA: don't catch a falling seven foot noble fir! ow. So we're going to put it up shortly and decorate it tomorrow.

I am planning to sign up for stargate_summer and finally, FINALLY get Tartarus done. If I have a deadline and a commitment, I can sit down and finish and get this monster off my hard-drive and out into the wild where it belongs. It's been, what? THREE FRAKKING YEARS? Two for sure because I remember talking about it during the '06 Burbank con. *hangs head and blames a certain someone I saw at that con for derailing me*

It'll likely be a good distraction after I finish bawling my eyes out over the end of BSG... Plus -- if I finish, I get to change my header! So it's all good. (now whether it finds any kind of audience, I don't know, but I'm caring less and less about that and I just want to get it done already. Every time I look at my header it fills me with guilt - unfortunately not a very motivational guilt, but guilt nonetheless).

However my BSG AU is lined up first. Episode 2 is in beta, and Episode 3 is in draft, but *sigh* not likely to come before 4.5 starts. oh well. At least I won't get my Final Cylon pick Jossed, right? So there's that.

Oh, and yuletide fic. hm. I was all on fire to do it when I first got my assignment, and now? not so much. I have written not one word. *bad Liz, you get lump of coal*

LOL! I KNOW. But this challenge will be perfect and EXACTLY what I need to motivate my ass. Cuz obviously it ain't happening magically on its own...
