This morning, there was the high school kid on a bike who decided that crossing the slow traffic was the smartest thing ever. I didn't even SEE him until I was maybe two feet off his back wheel.
*deep breath*
That was the most exciting thing that happened all weekend. My kidlet is fascinated by this show on History called The Universe: he has little concept of time or distance (he thinks the dinosaurs lived just a little while before the Titanic sank), but apparently the DEATH OF THE UNIVERSE was fascinating. I guess it was all the pretty pictures.
Speaking of the world getting destroyed, my
apocalypse_kree fic is... one good idea buried in a whole lot of not so good. gah. I'm really not fond of complete rewrites, but at least it's short. My soul bit will have fun cavorting with all the others! Probably it won't miss me at all.
oh, and for the REAL death of civilization -- I saw guys putting up the Home Depot Christmas display this morning. MAKE IT STOP!
TeeVee tonight. yay!

He should become a geologist! According to my advisor during college, that amount of time *is* just a little while. lol

I was in the Halloween section of WalMart, bemoaning the lack of new shiny this year, when I saw a girl walk past with a cart of trees. I hissed at them in horror. No wonder I can't find any new Halloween decorations that I like! All their space is being filled by TEH CRAZY. >_

I nearly said something when I passed the Home Depot guys, but it's not their fault I know. *sigh* but it's too early. I wasn't a huge fan of the expansion of Halloween into something akin to Christmas, but now? I'm just glad it's there, just to halt the tide of ever-increasing Christmas garbage.

YES we need the buffer!
I'm also happy that Halloween is so popular now because I would otherwise have to really work at finding Samhain decorations. Also, where else could I find a sign that proclaims "The Witch Is In" in a variety of colors? :D
