I was actually WRITING this afternoon (after not doing it for, like, a week), and then... computer crash! Frak! It looked like both Firefox, Adobe and something else were attempting to look for/download updates at the same time and... POOF!

Man, I was so worried I'd lost all I'd worked on this afternoon. But thanks to the magic of Auto-recovery, I was safe! phew! Because that was gonna really annoy me if I had to redo ie. It's never as good when I have to type it in again - like some sort of pale shadow of what I'd originally intended.

In other news I had one of those strange "Did that person actually watch the same show I did?" moments yesterday while wandering about online. It wasn't a preference thing (I'm old enough and schooled enough to recognize other people's preferences, even if I don't share them); it was as if they'd seen a version from an alternate universe. I was so gobsmacked I asked my husband if I'd missed something vital that turned the entire show inside out. He was also puzzled. hmf. We all really do see and interpret things in our own way, don't we? or, the less generous -- PEOPLE ARE STRANGE OMG.

And in other OTHER news, iTunes is feeding my Maroon 5 addiction today. DAMN IT. My wallet objects, even though I'm making grabby hands (LIVE SET PLUS VIDEO!).

LOL. I don't think I've ever had to get more than one extra copy of anything. Sounds like yours had a curse for awhile!

The thing I like about the second Darwath trilogy is that it's STILL apocafic. Things don't get magically awesome even once the Dark are gone (though the Dark were appropriately creepy - sort of like a medieval Aliens. could be a good film). Also I liked Icefalcon (I even wrote a - well, basically a Mary Sue, I guess - a woman of his own people for him to pair up with).

I did. It was very odd, because it was just that book. Sigh.

Oh, I figured it was, I'd just gotten past the whole urge to read it at the time. I might poke the library for them, at some point. *is totally not going to mock*
