Overheard in my house earlier: "Whenever you start thinking of yourself as a bad parent, thank God for Britney Spears."

Yes, very encouraging, thanks hon.

I have finished my draft for my [livejournal.com profile] sg_rarepairings fic! YAY!

I have vague thoughts percolating on the BSG Season 3 companion which I just got. I love books like this that are honest and let the actors and the producers tell about the weaknesses as well as the strengths. Obviously the producers think some things are done better than I agree with, but reading through the interviews and getting a better grasp on the WHY of some decisions, makes me far less pissy about some of it. The long hiatus helps too, I suppose.

But first - THANK YOU for opening the book with the last page of the script for LDYBII. For in that, it's clear that Leoben goes IN Sam's tent after he asks where Kara is. For upon that moment, at least two of my fics are based. phew! I've always kind of wondered about that. And there's a photo of the moment, too (in b&w, but still very nice.)

oh, picture! And they put the Anders half of the pic from my icon in the color photo section (I thought it was a new photo at first and got all excited). I think I want to rip it out and kiss it before I sleep every night. Except, hubby might object. So maybe not. :)

I'd put a copy of it here, except nobody ever remembers that I said anything when I picspam *g*.

So instead you get words. Under the cut is a quote from Trucco on how he sees Anders:

(From the BSG Official Companion to Season 3)

Anders is someone who has been conflicted on every level. Everything this former celebrity athlete thought about his life and his marriage has been turned upside down. He's someone who is forced to become a military man by necessity, rather than through choice. His love for Kara also forces him to constantly try to keep their marriage alive, even when he knows about her affair with Lee. I thought Anders' commitment to Kara was very interesting; at first I thought it was weak and fought it, but then I realized it was complex writing and very true to life. Starbuck's death turns Anders' world upside down. He is consumed by grief. His overwhelming state is total devastation."

Do I love Michael Trucco? Pretty much. yep.
