Okay, I've been thinky. I'm over it now, I promise!

Now I'm going to Squee! like a squeeing thing!

If you're as weak willed as I am, and you clicked anyway, here's your last chance to go away....

all settled in? okay then.

Sam/Cam, BABY! Of course it helps that Ben has chemistry with wallpaper paste, but he was particularly adorable in this, taking care of Sam and being just generally squishable with all his 'don't give up'. And this is some of Amanda's best acting in quite awhile, I think. So YAY!

Vala and Tomin are a great pair, he with his genuine faith and she with her genuine lack of same. I'm glad he let go and hope he's not dead, not least because my hubby always mistakes him for Nathan Fillion. no, dear, Tim Guinee was on that other short-lived sci-fi series (which I only watched because Peter Wingfield guested)...

And Vala jumped Teal'c! And he let her. *g* Watching this and the Fighting Agathons do it makes me wish my husband and I were not the same size, so I could jump him like that. Bummer.

I read someone else's journal who pointed out that this is a genuine 'win' against the Ori, and that makes it particularly lovely. They have two grounds of attack now-- one on the genuine faith front, through Tomin, and one with the phase shifting device thingy.

However, whoever wrote the teaser needs to be slapped. It's a bit whiplash inducing -- everyone's all smiles and silliness, when it seems like it's SG-1's return from Quest 2. Maybe if I hadn't watched them so close together it wouldn't be so bad, but wow, was it a very strange moment not to hear Landry's first question be "Where's Doctor Jackson?" I kept waiting for him to ask until I finally tripped to the idea that this must be quite a bit of time later. Had the ep started in the briefing room it would've been much less confusing (or started on the planet and skipped the briefing all together, but only so long as we got no fashback to the briefing since I'm beginning to HATE AND DESPISE that story structure.

Anyway, the teaser was my biggest problem with the episode. And yay, Reynolds is still around; it's always nice to see a familiar face. And Sam mentioned Cassie, awww...

The village leader (Thelana, Delana, something like that) was good, and even her second was empathetic.

But most of all, Sam/Cam!

Quest 2 after I watch it again, this time without sound problems. But I probably don't need to, do I?: Baal's in it, squee! all the rest is just detail. *handwave*

There you go, review-in-a-nutshell.

And if you're waiting until April -- you have my sympathies, dude, and I admire your fortitude!
