I think the realisation that a second Cylon has defected will have an impact, though. Caprica's not another Eight copy, so they can't blame it on a weak model, and what's more, she's a huge war hero. Albeit one whose credibility was presumably diminished by the New Caprica debacle. But a defection by the Cylon without whom the initial attack couldn't have happened, that's big news. One traitor can be dismissed as a freak. Two is more worrisome. Not to mention Caprica taking Baby Pop Tart away from the Cylons and handing her back to the humans.
