Since it's already 2007 in Australia, HAPPY 2007, everyone! Hope it's all good for you.

My fannish New Year's Resolutions are:

1. To write more fic. Finish and post the epics.

2. To make a vid that I'll let the public see.

3. To continue to avoid wank wherever possible.

4. To go to DragonCon!

5. To neither cry or want to shoot the PTB at the series finale of SG-1 (and the season finale of BSG, for that matter).

My favorite story this year (of my own):
"Five Sunrises" because even if few people get what it's about, I do, and I love it to pieces because it does exactly what I wanted it to do.

My best story this year:
"Five Senses" because I think it's crafted well. I used the five prompts in literal and figurative ways, and the five pieces together tell a single story.

Story most underappreciated by the universe, in my opinion:
Certainly my POTC ficathon story, which the moderator has still not posted to the fic group. My recipient liked it because I posted it to her journal anonymously, but no one else has even seen it. And I'm fairly certain that it will be a casualty of the shipwar anyway.

Story I kind of wish I'd never written:
I wish I'd done the plotty story that I'd intended to for yuletide. The one I did was received well enough, but it would have had a wider audience if I'd kept the rating down.

Most fun story:
"Malek's Sock." Because there can never be enough poking fun at uptight Tok'ra.

Most sexy story:
Gosh, with all the porn I wrote? Probably "Hiding in Starlight" because the whole story is about need and desire and sex.

Story with single sexiest moment:
"Weapon of Choice" when Sam is overwhelmed by the hotness.

Story with single sweetest moment:
"Five Kisses", since I think the kiss when Helo and Sharon are married has to be the single sweetest thing I wrote all year.

Most unintentionally *telling* story:
Probably "Weapon of Choice" since it's about my crush on Jason Momoa. Sad, but true.

"Holy crap, that's wrong, even for you" story:
"The Wrong Reason". Angry Tok'ra slash. WRONG. On so many levels. But hot.

Hardest story to write:
Emotionally? "With a Whimper" because it breaks up one of my ships. For a future purpose, but it still was hard.

Technically? "The Road to Tartarus" because it's still not finished, it requires research and it's the most emotionally complex story I've attempted and it is kicking my ass.

Easiest story to write:
My short yuletide piece was the easiest. It was something lurking in my brain for many years and I finally got a chance to write it down. Had I more time, I would have developed it more, but what's there is pretty much my idea in a nutshell.

This year's theme and the story that demonstrates it most:

The theme is that porn is easier than plot. Not that the two are mutually exclusive, of course, but if I have limited time it's what I reach for. 2005 was a very un-porn filled year, but this past year, it was more fun.

My dad was hospitalized for a few days for pneumonia but he's out now and doing better. I didn't feel all that worried, since he was never in much danger, but I guess it stressed me out enough that I couldn't concentrate on anything.

I kept looking for fluffy stuff to read, and ended up looking at the -- get this -- the line of succession after Elizabeth II. Did you know about 470 people would have to die for Prince Philip to rule in his own right? I don't know why, but I find that very funny.

Personal Resolution
1. Drink less coffee.

2. Find a better paying job.

3. Stop being such a potato.
