i somehow ended up here, and i'm very glad that i did! so i hope you don't mine my commenting.

this was really lovely. you did a wonderful job of capturing how they've both changed, how that flicker, though, is still there.

She was free, too, just as she'd wanted to be. loved that. made me think of what sartre said about freedom- "man is condemned to be free."
