hm.. I think Bill could. Exactly, , theres no genocide. There's war but it's against domestic Centurion Cylons. There aren't any humanoid models at all. And now Bill of all people will know that the ship is different than both current sides of the war and that the Colony/the Five weren't involved.
Plus, while Sam may call himself "Cylon" out of ancestry, I don't think he'd jump up and say "oh yeah I'm one of those" to Bill. when Bill just told him the Cylons are involved in a war. But I don't think he would if he knew more either, because he's not like the ones Bill told him are warring against the Colonies. And in fact just lost, a devastating war of his own with their own brand of those Centurions. The Five have more in common with the Colonials than they do with the Cylons at that point, really.
Eventually of course, someone would investigate why the Cylons were so interested in the ship and what exactly the Five think they could do to persuade the Centurions to stop. But not for awhile. The Five are smart folk, and alone in the galaxy, they're not going to start willy-nilly giving their advantage away.
(anyway, I'm totally blabbing cuz I thought about ficcing more to this but, y'know, time.)
