Finally caught up to

I really think they missed a trick of not having Sage break Damon's neck there at the bridge. It wouldn't kill him and while I enjoyed her slapping him around, her response was too mild.

I didn't like the whole "mind reading" thing though. And the whole bridge thing was ludicrous -- well, no, the bridge part was actually fine, it was the record keeping of it all that was ridiculous. (I still think it would've been more awesome for them to find an entire forest of these special oaks. They're ALL white oaks, Originals, good luck burning them all!!)

And while I'm pleased generally with the dialogue and actions of everyone regarding Stefan, I do find it too convenient. Are we seriously supposed to believe Lexi didn't try any of this with Stefan? Especially in the days before blood bags and refrigeration, there weren't a lot of options for trying to teach him control. Though otoh, to be fair, her big thing was trying to make him admit to feeling instead of letting himself suppress his empathy - and Stefan's already past that. And as we saw with Meredith he's capable of pushing the bloodlust back when he has Elena's pretty brown eyes watching him (which is why he wanted her with him, before he went upstairs).

Favorite part though was Elena telling Damon off for the 'experiment' though. And lying to Nutso!Ric

I want to be glad that we got Bonnie and Caroline back, but their scenes were mostly so boring. And everyone's incredible recklessness with Alaric is just kind of eyerollingly stupid.

anyway, a very meh episode overall.

I liked OUAT "Hat Trick" much better.

"Jefferson". LOLOL. guys, I know what you're trying to do with that, but it was mighty distracting as a name. Grace was more fitting.

But that was pretty good. Jefferson (*snicker*) was a neat take on Mad Hatter, I thought. Fitting in a show that deals so often with family and parents/children -- echoing Rumple's story with his son in a way, but as far more a victim. That display wall of hats was kind of awesome.

That bit with MM and Emma toward the end, when Emma said "Family". THE BEST. SERIOUSLY THE BEST. THEY BELIEVE IN EACH OTHER AND IT IS LOVELY. And then Henry's glee when it seems that Emma is really starting to believe.

Loved how Emma awesomely freed herself and MM channeled her inner Snow (WITH A CROQUET MALLET) and then kicked him out the window and was all "I have no idea where that came from!" heh. Which is kind of the point, about her and David.

I think people tend to forget that the pair of them are the FOCUS of this spell. Everyone else is basically collateral damage in Regina's attack on Snow and James - so to me I tend to cut both of them some slack for acting sort of dumbly/differently than what their actual selves would do. James would RATHER DIE than let Snow become something she's not - but David doesn't remember her. He loves MM, but he's also told he's married to Kathryn, he's woken up from a coma, he has weird blackouts and memory flashes, and he knows enough to know things are wrong. I don't know - I just don't expect him to be certain when his whole life in Storybrooke is a puddle of confusion. He'll be James again soon enough; I like watching him struggle.

Love the confirmation that Storybrooke was, in essence, stuck in Groundhog Day for 28 years until Emma got to town. That would suck, even without the being able to see your kid and be trapped in the house, like being trapped in Wonderland away from her. I know it's under some discussion whether he was pulled by the curse from Wonderland or FTL -- I think it seems like it was Wonderland, just because the circumstances seem similar of being trapped away from Grace/Paige, but aware. It's possible he got out of Wonderland and back to FTL and still never was able to get to Grace, but I don't have a problem with the curse pulling him from Wonderland.

Justified tomorrow, as it winds down the season; GoT starting. Fun trailers for DW... PoI returns Thurs after a zillion years of March Madness... Nikita is great fun; SPN was awesome.

Dang, there's a lot of tv I like right now/to come. And we haven't even sat down to watch Mad Men yet.
