Terrible things

We watched a bit of the really terrible Flinstones movie and saw Thomas Gibson in that actually SMILING and stuff. It was FREAKY AS HELL seeing him smiling. I had to forcibly remind myself that he was once on an actual comedy show. But I now really want a Criminal Minds episode where Hotch gets drugged, trips out, and giggles at how Reid looks just like a squirrel. It would be both hilarious and awesomely disturbing.

Also io9 has what looks to be an actual FUN bracket game: WORST SCI-FI MOVIES EVER (or at least the last 25 years). Though if you vote for Alien Resurrection over Battlefield Earth I AM JUDGING YOU HARD. Because obviously you have seen neither one, lol. I don't even like Alien Resurrection as a whole, but the first ten minutes are just about perfect and gorgeous, and should make it ineligible for any "worst" designation, especially up against such hideousness as Battlefield Earth. blech.

And news came down that HBO is canceling the Milch/Mann show 'Luck'. which although I didn't love it, was interesting and well made, and I feel like I barely figured out all the players and now it'll be gone. boo.

But CBS renewed Person of Interest, so at least I will have one more season of that!

Well, I have on purpose not seen Battlefield Earth, but everything I read about it sounds as if it is VERY BAD! No worries, though, it seems to be 'winning' hugely ;)

I think Alien Resurrection is pretty decent movie (especially if you don't compare it to the other ones) and I actually like some of the other contestants (Butterfly Effect, Mad Max III). Even Phantom Menace cannot compare to the sheer awfulness of BE or Pluto Nash or Ultraviolet. I only hope it won't suffer from the same ballot stuffing it did last year.

Luck - I thought it was because of all the dying horses - too much trouble with animal rights groups and bad publicity.
