Witchy shows

Hee, call "Charmed" a better show than TVD (in its development of witch powers specifically, not overall) is apparently putting chum in the water. But for all its ridiculousness it DID show the sisters learning their powers, screwing up, using a damned grimoire, a whole lot more effectively than TVD has done with Bonnie. I would never have expected to say Charmed is better than anything on any topic whatsoever, so it's all very funny to me.

Well, that's not quite true, since I did love Piper quite a lot. I once did about 5K of a Charmed/HP crossover with Piper going to teach at Hogwarts. I could never finish it now, many years from both canons, but it was a fun little thing, as I recall. It was going to be an AU to GOF. yes, I know, I'm always a bit too ambitious.

Yes it was cheesy at times, yes the writing could have been better. But on the subject of famly and sisterhood, there isn't a show I love more. Especially once they got rid of Shannon. I liked Pru okay, but Shannon as a creative force behind the show drove me a wee bit crazy.

I loved HMC on Picket Fences, lo many years ago, but I didn't watch Charmed until it was on in the mornings on Spike or whatever, when kiddo was a baby and there was literally nothing else on during his morning nap. It was fun for at least the first few seasons - but then I bailed as the whole thing with Leo and the kids got out of control ridiculous.

Hee, you want me to post what I have for fic amnesty? It doesn't get very far, sadly, but it's a little taste at least?
